I need to go down the trademark route to retrieve the account from IG.

I do not have the original email address which created the IG account.

My friend recently just got his account back from Instagram after it was hacked. He had a logo on his account that was a trademark and lodged a dispute with Instagram. It took about 3 months to get the account back due to COVID-19. He said Instagram/facebook support are not helpful to say the least.
