Define "cheaply" (maybe some range per month) and how many visitors there sites are getting, because there are a lot of "unlimited" hosting companies, who only seek a way to cap cpu, memory, etc. limits on the hosting accounts they setup.

For such a simple task, anything beyond the difficulty level of Sony Vegas is pointless - even Windows movie maker should do the job. Besides - if you master Sony's software you will learn how to create some more-professionally looking videos, rather than just chopping pictures and stealing...

Camtasia studio if I'm recording a video tutorial. Sony vegas is good for beginners who don't need too much stuff and effects for their videos and want to keep things simple. After Effects is for more advanced videos and for making some really catchy and converting stuff. ;)

Sony Vegas doesn't even get close to a comparison with AE. Adobe's alternative to Sony Vegas is Premiere Pro, not After Effects ;)
