i still didnt get that proxy thing - when using a vps, you got a static ip and need proxys - but why would you need preed proxys with a dynapic ip at home?

Firfox doesnt allow it to write to the registry or access file system objects from within webpages. instead of clearing cookies etc (except flashcookies) you can start Private Browsing Mode. It leaves you with a clean window and no cookies/history.
