Try making a few Idea pins and see how the reach goes. The few that I made from a few months ago are still getting impressions / engagements. Downside is that there are no direct link to the pages you want pinners to visit. To me, these pins are useless but Pinterest, for some reason, likes them.

One of the questions in the survey is to click on social medias that I use to promote my sites. The usuals are listed such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. Pinterest is not among them but can be written in. I thought Pinterest is big enough to earn a seat on the table, so to speak. Am I missing...

I find using Pinterest's scheduling and image tools to be helpful. But only for 1 account. My other accounts get "meh" traction.

Make sure you're using different images for pinning. Then give it a try. I have some content for recipes straight from a source, but images are different, so no issues so far.

You can search for boards using keywords. I assume the top boards are the ones Pinterest algo is pushing at the time. So maybe start there. What I've done was look at the profile of an active / popular pinner in my niche and see which boards they're pinning to. It should still work.

From my experience, according to pinterest analytics, the majority of impressions & click-thru traffic comes from other pins, not mine. So in my websites, I try to get as much repins/saves by begging. A contest/giveaway is prolly better, but I don't have the resources.
