Yooo update after like 3 months. I never thought that this would be possible...My team and I sent a long ass letter to amazon explaining the situation and being very polite saying that we were willing to respect their terms and all that.... They actually reopened our account!!!! We lost like 5k...
Yeah that sucks... It is crazy how strict their policies are but I guess they are way too big to care. They probably have thousands of new affiliates joining in every day and it would take them too much time to look into every case, so if you do anything that they don't like you're banned for...
Yeah, that's what I thought. Actually what I ended up doing is ditching amazon and working with other affiliate programs... The revenue is lower, they have less product options, links take longer to create and they take longer to pay, but at least now I'm more diversified...
I am now more...
Yeah, all faceless channels... It was a great way to make money when you could do amazon affiliates. I've talked to people who also got banned and were making 25k a month from amazon only lol. Adsense revenue is still decent, in my case enough to cover video production and leave some profit at...
UPDATE:
So here's what has happened a month and a half after the disaster. Let's begin with a recap:
I run three youtube channels all making the same tech niche content but getting it translated into english, spanish and french. The first amazon affiliate account that got banned was the...
I was using direct links and had been doing so for 3 years without any problems... Do you have any experience with using a buffer site? I am looking into that atm
UPDATE:
They banned another account linked to my main YouTube channel, so I closed all the remaining accounts myself. They were eventually gonna find them and I should be able to get the commissions they owed me since I closed them myself... Tough times, felt like doing hara kiri
UPDATE:
Just received a confirmation email that after review by an expert my account will stay closed due to use of third party content....RIP
Emailing Jeff Bezos helped to get it reviewed faster, they mention on the email that Andy Jassy is the current CEO, that he "takes my concerns...
The thing is I do make my own content, at least under YouTube's fair use policy, which is the platform I'm posting on. There are hundreds of channels using manufacturer videos and thousands of websites using manufacturers photos and videos... I hope someone human reviews my account after the...
Yeah commissions are not the best, but lately the've been offering some goal based fixed commissions (been making an extra $600-700 a month on my US account) and they also pay for purchases that are not the same as the linked item.
All kinds of consumer tech products like smartphones, tablets...
No, I am not tied and yes I will probably try that, even though I doubt that anything converts half as well as amazon.Do you know of any good programs for tech products?
After over a year in the program, I recently got 3 of my amazon affiliate accounts banned for using third party content. These accounts where linked to different YouTube channels in different languages, all making Top 5 Tech YouTube videos, using mostly manufacturer's videos.
It seems to me...
After you were banned how did you go about opening a new account and how long did it last until they banned you again?
Yes Europe are my biggest earners but I think it's only because those channels were started sooner and had more views.
