Amazon affiliates YouTube ban wave

After over a year in the program, I recently got 3 of my amazon affiliate accounts banned for using third party content. These accounts where linked to different YouTube channels in different languages, all making Top 5 Tech YouTube videos, using mostly manufacturer's videos.

It seems to me that many people are having the same issue and that amazon is mass banning YouTube accounts that use any kind of third party content. My guess is that this is due to the rise of AI content, I imagine so many new 'spammy' channels have been created and amazon doesn't want to be linked to them.

Has anybody experienced this recently? Any advise on how to work around the ban?

Are you tied to Amazon Affiliate? Perhaps look for some other affiliate programs that cover your niche so you can swap out Amazon for good.

No, I am not tied and yes I will probably try that, even though I doubt that anything converts half as well as amazon.Do you know of any good programs for tech products?

I agree with you that it will probably not convert as good but why bother since Amazon is paying peanuts for affiliates anyway. If i were in your situation i would definitely consider other affiliate programs before going back to Amazon. I am not sure what kind of tech products you are referring to, so i cannot give you any recommendation.

Yeah commissions are not the best, but lately the've been offering some goal based fixed commissions (been making an extra $600-700 a month on my US account) and they also pay for purchases that are not the same as the linked item.

All kinds of consumer tech products like smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, headphones... Even things like drones or robot vacuums. These are high ticket items so the 3-4% commission is actually quite significant.

I'm sorry for your situation. Amazon is stricter on third-party content. Make your own or get permission to avoid problems. Contact Amazon support to sort things out and hopefully restore your account.

The thing is I do make my own content, at least under YouTube's fair use policy, which is the platform I'm posting on. There are hundreds of channels using manufacturer videos and thousands of websites using manufacturers photos and videos... I hope someone human reviews my account after the appeal, realises that the content is not AI made and reopens it
 
UPDATE:
They banned another account linked to my main YouTube channel, so I closed all the remaining accounts myself. They were eventually gonna find them and I should be able to get the commissions they owed me since I closed them myself... Tough times, felt like doing hara kiri
 
were you using direct links or used a buffer site?

I was using direct links and had been doing so for 3 years without any problems... Do you have any experience with using a buffer site? I am looking into that atm

in the past i used to have direct links which resulted in ban sooner or later ,better to have buffer sites with discount plugins 100% amazon or nobody can ban it ,the very next minute amazon bans your acc you can send the traffic (from the website) to some other better paying network ,investing a lot thinking amazon is a good company is not a great thing to do.
