You can first "JOIN" them, learn their process so you can "BEAT" them later. I think G prioritizes reputable sites when it comes to SERPs. One of my sites (EMD) is nowhere to be found in G's top 10 result pages when searching for its keyword but this site's Facebook page is no.2.

Add good content regularly and do some back-linking. You can also try making a Facebook page about your blog.

Nobody will help you. Why waste time with somebody else's blog when you can concentrate on ranking your own site?

There are plenty of hosting sites there that allows NSFW content. So many to choose from so there's no reason for you to stay at a host that doesn't allow porn if you want to blog about adult content.

Moving the Blogger posts to Wordpress is easy. Can't say the same about the theme. Better hire a Wordpress designer to "import" that Blogger theme.
