Haha that song is going to be stuck in my head all day now, haven't heard that one in years!
But really, I haven't noticed any difference at all after this hummingbird update. Not in the search, or on my sites.
You're correct. Most sites will not approve comments with links in the actual comment, and most don't care much about having it in the URL box. Of course you can always try both ways and see what works for you.
Just a tip for blog commenting: Do it in moderation, and make sure you're adding to...
Yea just do some quality backlinking, web 2.0s maybe some press releases and wiki links(manual only). Then build a tier 2 and 3 to get the juice flowing on the links you build. You'll get back on the first page no problem with a little time.
My sites weren't affected at all as far as I can tell. But I'll wait a few more days to see if anything changes. I don't have any crap links at all, all 100% unique and original content on quality web 2.0s and stuff. I'm not really worried about it.
Pinging your own site is unnecessary because you have the ability to submit your own sitemap. Plus like others mentioned, giving it a few tweets or facebook shares gets it indexed very quickly.

I'll be outsourcing...

I think I might try this out as an extra traffic...
Like I said it's possible that the customer cancelled their order. If that's the case then you'll never see the money because Amazon doesn't have it to give to you.
Unfortunately with these Amazon sites you see this a lot, especially with higher priced items. People change their minds or find...
When were the orders placed? Sometimes they take a few days to ship out, you won't see any earnings until they do. If they never ship out (customer cancels order) then you'll never see any money.
