Sometime ago I posted about having a boost of traffic by updating old content. I have been tracking those updated pages, but unfortunately, after two weeks or so, the traffic drops again. Anyone with the same experience?

Little boost, again. But search is still fuc*ked up. Just searched about a particular drug and end up in a curtains store with gibberish content.

I really hate to be (kinda) right about this. I saw some improvement after the last update (some days ago), but now is stabilizing/declining again.

Can you explain how do you convert (turn the followers into clients/money) ? You don't need to be specific or even say the niche. I'm just curious about the expensive investment to do all this. Thank you

Noticing a little boost too. The sad thing is that I don't believe that this is caused by on page changes, etc.... This is just another russian roulette update.

Finally seeing a little progress after updating the content, considering before I was getting nothing or dancing positions (but mostly going down). Two days ago I made a test updating just three (random) posts that I didn't update for 6+ months. My site have 1500+ and I create new ones...

Completly agreed. Specially about small and new sites gaining a boost. This make me think that freshness is still a important factor. The only change I saw after this mess, was updating outdated content. This could be a coincidence, ofcourse.

+1 for the adwords theory. And if you stop to think about that, it's exacty the same thing that facebook did along the years. 2012~1014, you could get sooooooo much traffic from fanpages and people sharing posts. But year after year, facebook reduced reach of any content sending people out of...

Have a emd (non english site) that got severely hit by May Core update. The domain have a 34DA (just saying that it's not a new domain, etc...) Not a single keyword related to the EMD was boosted. PS: 100% white hat website. Besides my own experience, I see sites ranking with EMD and others...

100% white hat, in my case = the most affected site that I own have 100% natural backlinks of people linking to my site because they want to do so. Not a single guest posting link or something like that... And if you find a possible other causes, you will find 10 cases showing the opposite.

I'm brazilian too. The result for that search query (from your mother) is horrendous. All the results are pinterest leading to broken links/blocked by spam (did you notice this ?) If the results really delivered the search intent I would accept as google favoring it's partners, but ALL three...

Also, the sky is blue. I really wish that the case was that simple.

Yes, me too. Unfortunately, nothing - atleast in my case - is compared to organic traffic from several keywords coming from google, 24/7.

Oh, dear... people really think that google will rollback the update ? Sorry for the sarcasm, but starting from 2014 it was downhill from there and on. June 2019 core update was the first nail on the coffin, the next core updates were no different... and now this. I don't know you guys, but...

You are lucky. I did the same thing several times... the only reply I got was that automatic one that they "can't reply to everyone and will look into the issue".
