Not sure I understand this. Can I buy a 500 word article for $8 or will it be 250 to 300 words? For 500 words the $8 works for me but not for 300 words. $8 a copy ( 500 words) for articles and short product descriptions, ranging not more than 250-300 words.

I would have thought adword account would be pretty easy to open and adsense somewhat harder.
