I find it funny how the TL;DR is almost same amount of words as the original...which goes against TL;DR... YouTube analytics has updated for mobile views also, they now have "Unique Views" info, so they can tell if the views are unique or not. Example of this...

Hey everyone! I found a new method: Insert that on your video page in the URL bar and you can change the amount of views.

I remember running a few links through WireShark on 25th of May (I just checked the file) and those links had "et" and "st", so not sure why you're referring to the date 03.06.2012 if they were added before then, unless you mean they only started logging the audience retention on that date?

All they did was add IP detection to rtsp servers wasn't it? Because we were getting views by streaming rtsp, because it didn't used to count IP, but now I believe it does.
