Just wanted to bump this up; it's a great idea if everyone here actually plays fair. I've followed a few people who did not return the favor.

I'm looking for something similar as well, just a WP plugin that can batch post images from a directory at set intervals to keep the content fresh. I've already got the images, just need a plugin that can post them.

Forums are a labor of love, you really can't do shortcuts and expect to get decent returns. At least, I've never seen any evidence for that; all the top forums are staffed/run by people who generate good original content.

I don't see the value of using Twitter for IM, but I maintain a personal account for the more vapid stuff I wouldn't post to Facebook. The way I see it, its value depends greatly on how many of your friends/contacts also use it. Otherwise, it's basically a digital version of standing on top...
