Hi,

I have just launched a fresh forum today and I have a launch plan in place to get it off the ground. However, I was wondering if you guys would like to share any innovative ideas to quickly get the forum off the ground.

I am looking for fresh ideas, as I have already done the basics such as

Hiring paid posters
Utilising my twitter network on the same subject
Sending an email out to my existing website members etc

I'd love to know this too, I've covered all the basic steps + some more. Plus I'm looking to advertise, lost a few $$ on FB ads with literally zero results :tomato:

Will adwords do any better? I'm looking forward to promote it with an offer. Any other ideas?

You need a Niche Targetede you have tested facebook PPC but try FanPage now and integrate it with your Twitter account You will get the results

How do you mean Integrate fanpage with Twitter account?

You could create a bot or find one using google that goes to competitors forums and sends all their members a pm about your site. Im not sure if thats what youre looking for but you never know.

Could you name a bot that does this?

Whats the forum about?

Fashion (Largely female traffic)

Ok Guys I found this for Mass PM Bot for VBulletin: masspmsender dot com . But, no sure if it still works. There is very little info. on that page.

Try press releases, youtube videos and some services here on bhw, it will get it off the ground. The hard part is to sustain the forum and have it active, also keeping it away from spammers as well.

Which service would you recommend for something like this? I am not sure a backlink service would do much good.

I think a link wheel would be perfect plus creating pages on facebook and having a twitter account is crucial. By adding people to fb, twitter, you will gain a lot of followers and will hopefully be active members.Btw, you can add members with software or just buying it not a lot of money. Also, ranking well is essential and link wheels would help along with some press releases and even some profile links and Youtube videos as well.I would take a look in the bst section and ask some of the sellers.

I need to find a Forum Content Generator that works with Invision Power Board. If anyone has any ideas or resources please do get in touch with me. Thank you

Forums are a labor of love, you really can't do shortcuts and expect to get decent returns. At least, I've never seen any evidence for that; all the top forums are staffed/run by people who generate good original content.

I agree and disagree at the same time! ...
1- you can find a lot of forum generators on the web ...people were selling such softwares and my friend bought one.
2- you can do a lot of techniques to launch the community off the ground

but i agree with you at one point that the top forums are staffed and run by a lot of people to get top results ... people love original content ...and hate things that they can see elsewhere ...if they saw your forum filled with bots and same info allover copied from other forums...you wont make it !
