Use Ahref to see the backlinks. Ahref gives you all the backlinks generated for your website. So you might get more backlinks count and list through Ahref tool. Or Check the url where you built a backlinks for ur website. Check the third party url whether its crawled r indexed by google/ any...

Good interlink will help u to rank better in SERP. Use the proper anchor text. Link count is not important. Until and unless its relevance. Don't repeat the same links in the same web page. Target LSI keywords also for interlink. It will help u rank better in serp

Maybe they are strong in On page factor Like they might update the content frequently. They might follow the on page guidelines properly. Strong interlink strategy they follow etc
