Does elance/odesk ask for the fee once the job is completed or are they the same? I'm a free member on freelancercom btw

Good thing I didn't link my CC....I've asked that freelancer to move onto elance. Hopefully freelancercom didn't charge him anything for me awarding him the project. Even if they did I hope it's not something that he can't recover. Does elance charge immediate fees if I award someone a project ?

But freelancercom has my address (I gave them when I was signing up). Should I just ignore their $51 fee and ask that freelancer to do the project with me on elancecom? I think he may also have been charged when I awarded the project to him
