I set myself the goal of getting to page 1 google for one of my pages and Ahrefs suggested keyword difficulty was low (it suggested only 4 backlinks required). I have many more links now, some in forums, some tier 1 with various anchor text but i'm stuck on page 4. How long is it likely to take to see the impact of my work in the SERPS and what else (aside from general on page SEO) should I do to get on page 1?

You bumping within half a day.. Zero patience so in your case it will take forever.

In normal cases, if competition is low, you got quality KW and quality backlinks, a couple months max.

ranking depends on many things, specially the age of your website, social presence, on page seo, anchor text diversity, link platform diversity.
The goal is to do all this and make it look natural at the same time. :)

Ok well I think i'm heading in the right direction then - Website is only 5 weeks young.

Try finding some related keywords with 0 difficulty. Ranking these will help pull up your keywords.
So many people fail to realize that.

If your site is 5 weeks old dude, you have a bit to go. SEO is painstakingly slow and arduous. It's a grind. I dunno if you're beginning or not (I;m going to assume you are) then you need to be aware of this.

Just don't go overboard with your off page stuff on such a new site.
Was this an aged domain or a brand new one ?

I was hoping if this would turn into "Your logic is Flawed" post :(

Anyway,

Also according to Ahrefs case study on 2 million keywords, it take approximatley from 60 to 90 days to rank any keyword ( that has decent searches ) number 1 which matches my experience BTW.

So it was aged but i dont think it was ever used much - waybackmachine doesnt show much happening on it. I've built quite a few links naturally and bought a package from the marketplace here which gave me 50 links to a page, with a variety of anchor text. I'll continue to build links naturally and grow a presence on social media as well.

Theirs no time limit for SEO results...just keep writing quality stuff and build nice backlinks...you will see results after few months

Did you indexed all of your backlinks that pointed to your target page. And this is a new site, so you have to wait for minimum 60 days to take your site ranking.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'did you indexed all of your backlinks' - They exist, Ahrefs recognises them, some have started to show in Search Console but is there something else i ought to do to maximise their effect? - Many thanks.
