Although it is definitely not the lowest, I wouldn't say that the price is high. For example, you can get same Spinners on Groupon for $8.99 + $4 shipping (total $12.98). In this case, if you charge same amount of money and use me to fulfill your orders, you pocket $12.99-$7.99 which is $5 per spinner. Not too bad given you don't have to deal with handling the inventory.

You can order spinners from China for $1-$5, but it is going to take 3-4 weeks to arrive, so as a customer you can decided for yourself whats really important to you: lower price or faster shipping.

Bullshit. I sell spinners all day long for $20.40 shipped. I did over $20k in sales in February and March. Even after I got nailed by the Fred update I still do $150-$300 per day just from Bing and Yahoo traffic.

If you can get the traffic, people will buy. You don't need to have the lowest price, only the right traffic.

Not knowing this person, I don;t know whether what he is telling us is true or not.

Rough analysis: $20,000 in sales / $20.40 per spinner / 2 months = 490 spinners per month or 16 spinners per day

On one hand, it doesn't sound like a lot and this is probably achievable, but I don't know what his customer acquisition costs are. If it's all organic traffic from Bing and Yahoo then it does sound a little tooo good to be true.

Are you really still doing that much sales? because basically these spinners are quite saturated now ... so you get 7-14 sales a day from yahoo and bing? hmm never tried yahoo at all ... and bing looks to me as suited more for products for older people ....
