In the short while that I've been here I can say that the MOD's are in fact very helpful and do a pretty damn good job moderating a forum this size. Very rarely do I see spam or other nonsense that you'd typically find elsewhere.

Thanks to @BassTrackerBoats and @I Know SEO for the bit of help and advice you've given me since I've joined! :)

The answers here should be pretty interesting and I can't wait to review the responses from the MOD's! :)

1. Introduce yourself! Mention the date of joining as MOD (optional)
I'm... Zwielicht.

I officially became a moderator on January 18, 2017. If you want to count the time I was a Moderator in Training, then I've been a moderator for nearly 6 months now.
2. Your Very First day as a MODERATOR or Super Moderator - how that feels ?
I was definitely glad I was no longer a Moderator in Training. It's like a purgatory; you're not quite a mod, not quite a regular member. You can perform some moderation actions, but you don't have the best tools.

Other than that, I didn't do much the first day as I wanted to take the time to grow accustomed to the new tools in my arsenal.
3. How is your Moderating Experience ?
  1. I like banning scammers, but the real thrill is in the hunt.
  2. I don't like monotonous tasks like moving threads unless I get to move them in bulk and cause an uproar on the forum.
  3. I like closing threads.
  4. I don't like issuing infractions.
  5. I don't like cleaning up spam.
  6. I like finding new ways to improve the forum.
4. How you guys see other members ?
i.e newbie = registered member = power member = Jr. VIP = Jr. Executive VIP = all are equal ?
I try to focus more on the individual rather than their membership level. Some of my favourite members had non-Jr. VIP accounts while many of my least favourite members were Jr. VIP+.

You're all the same if I catch you scamming, though. ;)
5. Do Moderators get paid or working for free ?
Only the in-house moderators are paid.

I'm not an in-house moderator, so any work I do around here is volunteer work.
6. How many hours you spend on forum / day ?
Too many.
7. Does MOD reads all the threads ?
No. I usually only focus on the problematic sections (I'm not going to say which ones these are) unless I spot a fishy thread. I rely on reports for fishy threads most of the time.

When I'm browsing the forum for information, I only read threads that pertain to what I'm looking for.

8. Who is your Role Model (specify one MOD) ?
I was unable to come to a decision.
9. Does MODS have any private section to discuss ?
Yes, as @t0mmy mentioned last May, we have a staff forum.

Well I was also referring to the other thread also
Some people get angry when they receive an infraction. Many times, they just want an outlet where they can be heard, so they post a thread about it. I explained this to one of my clients who was distraught over a negative review her business received a few years ago.

Also, as I told another member recently, infractions can be psychologically scarring. This might not be the case for you, but I've seen some members react to infractions as if I just broke into their home and spit in their face.

Post reported for Trolling - Trolling isn't acceptable - keep it civil please.
This completely retarded thread is a good reminder to all that currently there are a number of high profile old accounts getting hacked and brought back to life, so be extra diligent if some long term trusted member suddenly reappears on the scene.

I guess you missed to mention about apricot :) @back2form

I Guess, Apricot is now Administrator not a MOD :)
Okay, why not we welcome Administrators - they might be MOD before admin post.

So, I welcome former BHW MODS & Admin Members as well.

In My Case :
If a long-term trusted member suddenly reappears on the scene, then its because to show all the other members that i'm back as stronger than before!
I'm back2form, I Live for my Username. That's it

If you're implying that back2form's account was hacked, I had looked into the account earlier this month. The info recently used by back2form (emails, Skype ID, etc) has been consistent with all of his posts from last year as well as his posts from 2014 (and his social media accounts with aged posts, etc). He's even using the same grammatical idiosyncrasies as before (e.g., random capitalisation).

Of course, none of this is definitive proof, but I try not to make insinuations or accusations until I have sufficient evidence.

I wasn't making a direct accusation, just highlighting that there are a number of old accounts getting dug up and people should be aware of it.

As for this guy I did a small bit of business with him a few years back and he was a focused business man with his eye on the ball. Since he came back he seems to just want to open stupid threads to troll mods.

What do I know, maybe hes had a head injury.

i'm back2form, whatever test you may conduct - I'm ready to answer!
The same results : back2form

We check all the "high profile" accounts against various previous metrics. We've banned a few - note to all any purchased/sold accounts will be banned. It's against the BHW TOS to buy or sell accounts.
We also don't allow trolling. @Duffers5000 - your first and only warning.

Nice idea @back2form hope a few of the mods have the time to reply. Good to get an insight into that side of the forum.

okay, I Understand!

you know what, back2form might get busy, if my new thread is Launched!
yes, busy with the sales conversations, post replies, clients, clients, clients..etc.. I can't participate on the longue sections

I've no sales thread for now,
So, i'm creating new new threads & will Keep posting new threads whatever strikes me to become High Lighted Member.
After that, I launch my new Service!

I'm Happy that, am High Lighted & people started talking about back2form :)

Basstrackerboats AKA BTB, not really sure when I as bumped to Mod but it was about a year or so ago.

2. Your Very First day as a MODERATOR or Super Moderator - how that feels ?

I was a Mod in Training for longer than anyone else as we were transitioning the platform the forum was on and thus got my name in not only Guinness but also Ripley's Believe It or Not. I was hoping for another 3 or 4 years so my record could not be beat as that is my only claim to fame.

3. How is your Moderating Experience ?

In general it is a positive experience because you know you are doing something that is helping others. You get the 1% that tries to make your life unpleasant but I was born in New York and raised in New Jersey so my skin is pretty thick.

4. How you guys see other members ?
i.e newbie = registered member = power member = Jr. VIP = Jr. Executive VIP = all are equal ?

Some I know in real life, some I know here on the forum but I try to treat all the same as a Mod. For instance, you and I go back and have been friends for some time and have done business together, @back2form, yet I issued you a warning just a week or so ago.

5. Do Moderators get paid or working for free ?

I get paid what I am worth.

6. How many hours you spend on forum / day ?

My laptop is almost always on if I am home and there is a tab open but the actual hours are not as much as one would think.

7. Does MOD reads all the threads ?

That is impossible. I read the threads that are reported as well as that which I have an interest in or think I can learn from.

8. Who is your Role Model (specify one MOD) ?

That would be hard to pin down as each other Mod brings something different to the table but there are several that I look up to, discuss modding with and ask for feedback.
