3. Don’t Ignore Low Hanging Fruit (Low Search Volume Keywords)
This is so so so so so true that it's actually funny. I've been building a site for the past month just based on long-tails that rank top 10 instantly and I'm in love! Spending 30ish minutes a day just writing for this site is going to pay off tons in the future.
4. Set Up Google Alerts for Your Industry
This is a really good idea. Also just generally keeping up-to-speed with your niche is a good idea. Not only does it make writing a lot easier, but it also makes your content 10x better when you're not just talking through your ass and making stuff up.
9. Make WhoIs Information Public
I don't agree with this one. I don't see any reason why Google would prefer a site for (not)having it. I don't want haters of my political blog to DOX me, but I don't mind if my fortune 500 company's address is visible from WHOIS (Theoretical)
13. Don’t Buy Cheap Content
I'd say this is the thing I disagree about most on this list.
My last thread indisputably proves that money =/= quality. (Look at the article my English friend wrote for me. They charge £1/100 words - less if I pay hourly)
16. Target Competitor Brand Keywords
Yes, yes, yes. The site that I'm targeting "low hanging fruit" is actually 100% ripped from a massive brand here in England.
I got a list of all the KW's they rank for (Literally automatically generated pages with 50 words content, purely ranking by the DA) and I'm going through them one-by-one. By the end of the year, I should be out-ranking them for every KW they have
30. Monitor Google Analytics for Content with High Bounce Rates
Have a watch of this section if you've got a spare 20 minutes or so.
Here
But please make sure they are factual, and not just presumed knowledge (As
my thread explains)
36. If a Link is Automatic It’s Not Worth Your Time
Not really true. thinking outside the box and finding amazing methods that no one else has is always a good thing to do in my book. If you're (one of) the only one doing it, there's no reason to stop just because it's "easy" I mean, all I have to do is whip out my card and I can have a Euntrepreneur link in a week or so. Does that mean I should avoid it?
38. Optimize E-Commerce Product Descriptions
Links back to my point about out-ranking a major store. It's often overlooked and people just bank on traffic from their Landing Page/ blog.
Why not go direct?
40. Become a Guest Blogger
Yes, yes, yes. You may find this list useful: "

47. Write 1,000+ Words for Your Infographic Posts
That's what I was talking about
here.
79. Focus on Long-Form Content (2,000+ Words)
That's stupid. Once again, refer to my
Case Study thread.
I am yet to see proof that 20000 word articles rank any better than 500 words.
As an article reader, I could not see myself reading through 2000 words of content unless it was something AMAZING, which it isn't 9 times out of 10.
