So I was browsing without any particular motive, skimming through a viral blog & I find an article - some wannabe fashion enthusiast shared her experience with a product. I thought of it as a niche first but I guess an Amazon aff. site would be better?

I think this can be huge because the article is going viral & a fashion YouTuber did a video recently which is going viral too. Something like a trend that could spread like viral among US women (this was pretty much unknown till now or very little exposure)

I searched the main keyword on Google, intitle: "main keyword" - No results. 34 results without quotes out of which 3 are related.

The top 10 results (normal search) are:

- That viral article
- 3x Amazon.com links (2 related - 1 somewhat unrelated)
- The viral video
- An article that basically just links to that viral video.
- An article from 2015 which was written on the same topic (This didn't went viral then, but I see people are digging up the post now & there are many comments that has been posted last month - ie March 2017)
- 3 articles written in 2015 - not viral, no comments or interaction here.

The exact match domain (.com) is still available.

My problems are:

- Will it be too difficult to outrank the viral sites? They are pretty famous ones.
- One of the sites already has Amazon Buy Now links, but strangely enough these are not referral links.
- Price of the products are around $10 - is it too low to consider?
- Considering this is a beauty product (that runs out) women might buy it again but they won't follow my link & buy from Amazon directly because that's normal.

What would you do?

Some of this might sound noob as I'm not really into Amazon niche aff. & this would be my first. I was pretty much always into content writing & learning SEO for the past few months after joining here.

Thanks for all inputs guys!

Only one way of finding out, buy the domain and give it a go! You say the product is only $10, but that will be passive cash if you can rank it well.

Thanks man!

Why don't you risk it?

I was saving up for a Jr.VIP membership and start my writing services here. Moreover I'm totally new at this & things go viral & disappear all the time, that's eating at my confidence too.

Jr VIP is more for contributing for having earned from the info on the forum.

what would i do if i were you? get off bhw. get a domain and a site set up asap before someone else has same idea. start generating traffic any way possible. viral things are there one day gone the next. delay of few days is enough to miss the boat.
amzn cookie means if user buys anything within 24hr you're gonna get a commission. doesn't matter if its that $10 fashion product or something else. case in point i ran an ecommerce site for equestrian niche and my amzn affiliate panel was full of people buying things from ipad's to jewish cook books; and of course the actual equestrian stuff in there i had been promoting.
viral = lots of traffic = lots of people buy stuff amzn anyway.

Organize your priorities.

Writing may provide you more $ in the near term which in turn may allow you to set up shop for this viral product.

Write down your priorities and think what should be first.

Look to see if the product is on aliexpress. If it is, consider doing an ecommerce site around it. Promote with IG. Buy shoutouts. And test some FB ads

Bro just go with it, the worst that can happen is that it won't work, but if it works, it's a big PLUS.

Act on it now before somebody else does :)

I checked it up on Aliexpress even before writing this & guess what, it's cheaper on Amazon.

Since your focus has been on content, why not make money with this virality two ways? Like everyone is saying....get the website up quickly, do your own version of the viral article which include links to the related items on Amzn, flesh out the website with related content, drive traffic, get adsense money and amzn money based on whichever way the readers go. Plus--get the email addresses of visitors and follow up with emails in the beauty niche that share tips and promote your website (on which you place more articles with tips and links to products), as well as promote products both physical and electronic through the emails.
If it's that viral, you might get some quick traction. One quick check you might make.....it's possibly going viral because the owner of the site is paying for advertising to drive traffic to that article because they make money with adsense and traffic is everything to them. You might check--before you move forward--what your possible ad costs might be and if you think you could recoup the cost on the backend.

Plus....don't rule out selling the website as a money earning possibility as well down the line. Best of luck! Let us know how you do :-)
