This is my journey thread.

GOAL : Become a millionaire within five years from December 2016

What I have done so far

-Learned how to set up wordpress and blogger blogs
-Basics of SEO
-Reached halfway to bootstrapping myself to start a blog (earned about $50 online)

What I'm working on now

-a blogger (blogspot) blog that I will monetize with adsense down the line (after 3-4 months)

I realise I don't know much about IM. But slow and steady wins the race

Good luck on your journey buddy. Make sure you set smaller goals first as it will be too hard to stay focused on a one million dollar goal while making pennies with Adsense.

I don't plan on making money with adsense alone. But a man's gotta start some place. And I'm young, so making mistakes and falling flat on my face isn't going to be a problem.

I've made $50 online so far so I have hope.

And focusing on $1 mil is certainly daunting, but that's the bigger goal.
There's a lot of intermediate stations on this train ride
(Like learning wordpress, domain name buying, hosting buying {I've used free domains like .gq .tk and free hosting website like "use google I don't want mods on my back"}, setting up MySQL databases when manually installing wp, learning another platform, google's blogger, writing content, gathering stock photos, photoshopping the shit out of google search images, creating logo with free online tools and the using photoshop to make it transparent because my broke wallet that has cobwebs in it cannot afford $5 for a decent logo from fiverr {but mostly 'cause I'm cheap }, checking out blogs, forums, youtube channels, books anything that will get me even one step closer to becoming financially free using the internet, etc etc etc)

tl;dr

I'm having the time of my life doing this IM thing and I'm loving every second of it and I really don't care if I get successful in this field or not. ( Don't get me wrong here, I am highly motivated to make this happen, it's just that I'm not overly attached to the outcome and this attitude of "care, but not that much" keeps me from going crazy) {Although content creation is a bitch and drives me nuts.}

I have selected niche, done KW research, started researching and writing my first pillar post.

My first pillar post has reached over 3500+ words and 90+ screenshots now (it's a 'how to' guide)and I am not even halfway through. So much hard work, hehe. I am reading peoples journey posts here on BHW and they are using so many different tools, using PBNs, web 2.0s, buying SEO backlinks, etc and I am feeling really overwhelmed because I don't know anything about linkbuilding/KW ranking. This is my very first blog/website and I don't want to screw it up. I haven't bought a domain/hosting yet (though I have practised with free domains and free hosting) so I am confident in the technical aspect of setting up my blog. I just am scared about screwing things up.

My goal is to create an authority site in my niche over the next couple of years and make an income of +5000 dollars per month from this ONE website.

PS: My budget is $60 that I have made from freelancing and any money I end up making from my blog will be reinvested into the business early on.
