I have a theory that if people only paid money to those with actual marketplace threads scams would go down by 90%.

It will never be 0%, it's impossible. But it's very rare for a shit list to be posts about an established member or about a marketplace thread itself.

If people stopped replying to the "add me on skype i cn do dis" members you would be surprised how little of an issue you will have.

I'd even suggest you are being generous at 90%, I'd say nearer 95%..

It's the way of the world that those who fail to see an offer as too good to be true, then find out the hard way it was too good to be true.

If you're using this forum for trades and didn't even notice how the Jr.VIP status is achieved, you didn't do enough research. If you don't care that much it shouldn't bother you to get scammed. In the best case you learn from it, but 95% of the times you can avoid getting scammed.

Guys, there is a difference between jr-vip and any other status like moderators or executives.

You can get this status by paying 100$, so, its not a prove of anything. Its just a prove that a user has 100$ and that is all.

While all other higher status are acquired by votes (exec and mods) , so, I really hope this gets resolved for all of you, but just wanted to clarify something that I thought u r missing

It's true that without asking from buyer never put your id anywhere on any post. Even this has been realized to me by @BassTrackerBoats.
Also i love the way you tackle people here who are not aware with such things and give them clarification why it is good or bad.

Jr vip isn't an achievement when you can buy it, that's why all newbies ask to become one, it's no protection against being scammed.
