I have a Youtube channel that's about 2-3 years old. On it I have about 25 videos, all similar. All videos made by me. No copyrighted music or anything in it. Just me reviewing sites and talking.

I made and uploaded the videos to drive traffic to some offers I have, and also monetized with Freedom for some extra passive income (I get maybe $0.50 cents per month from that lol).

Last night Youtube deleted 1 of my videos, and gave me a strike.

So now I'm wondering if I should appeal this suspension. But if I do, is there a chance they'll look at my channel and perhaps delete the entire channel/all videos?

Jesus this stuff is scaring me... not sure I want to invest my time into YouTube now that I see they are wreaking havoc on channels.

With the appeal process you have 250 characters to state your claim... so a tweat hahah. I don't think it would hurt to appeal it.

I was watching videos last night on this and a few YouTubers appealed their strikes and won. It took about 3-4 weeks for anything to happen tho...

What worries me about appealing is that I don't end up shooting myself in the foot. If an automated algorithm removed my video, then a manual check of my video could have it restored, or the person that does the manual check could see the rest of my videos (which are similar to the one that got removed), and just remove them all, or suspend my entire account altogether.

I'm really split on whether I should appeal this shit or not. This sucks...

That said, I never take Youtube/Pinterest/Facebook/Twitter super super seriously. They're parasites. I mean, I'm a parasite on them. Automate as much as possible and let sit. The one thing I take seriously are my websites, where I have the control!

now a day hard to make money with youtube. recently they changed her algorithm

I used a method that never fails to decide whether I should appeal the video suspension or not.

I flipped a coin!

Money never lies.

So I will not be appealing the video suspension.

Thank you very much :)

Well, YOLO.

I've disobeyed money and appealed the video removal.

One of the following things will happen.

1) Youtube restores my video and gives me a nice long bj
2) Youtube doesn't restore my video
3) Youtube doesn't restore my video and deletes all of my videos on the channel
4) Youtube doesn't restore my video, deletes all of my videos on the channel, and deletes the channel itself
5) Youtube doesn't restore my video, deletes all of my videos on the channel, deletes the channel, and deletes all the channels associated with that Gmail account

Like, seriously...

Very very good tip:
Leave Freedom...just trust me...
those mfs are stealing from youtubers for years..I lefted the network long time ago

Frankly, I never had a problem with Freedom. At the end of every month they send me the few cents I've made in earnings. Are they shaving? Perhaps. But it's passive and easy and simple, and just something extra for me.

I dont think why you should be worried if the content uploaded is created by you.
It could be possible that some one whose website your reviewed mass spammed your videos.

Just go with the appeal and see.

I still haven't gotten a reply from Youtube about my video, but another bad thing happened.

I had the channel monetized with Freedom.tm. Today they unliked my channel. It seems I'm not the only one this happened to. I found this video (not my video) about it on Youtube:

I'm getting a bad feeling about my channel. I hope I don't lose it/lose all the videos I have on it.

If you do not have all those videos on your hard drive/cloud/somewhere, it would be wise to download them now so if they do go away you still have them and can edit them a little and start a new channel.

Oh I have all the videos backed up of course.

But if I lose the videos/channel, what's the point of starting a new channel? They'll just delete that one too.

I guess I'll just upload the videos on my own site and host them myself. I hate playing cat and mouse with any social network.

oh dam. shutup. YT does nothing shit themself. some competitor reported you. thats all.
beware of more storm comig.
and honestly, I dont care anymore if you believe me or not.

What the fuck??

Fuk #Youtube, Fuk #Google.
They are a big boy, you can do anything they want.

So I may have some good news here.

I went to my video that was supposedly removed, and it's still there, and it doesn't display any notification or anything indicating a problem.

Also in the email I received about my video being removed they said this: "We’ve removed it from YouTube and assigned a Community Guidelines strike, or temporary penalty, to your account."

However, now I have no penalties or strikes on my account.

So does this mean that they gave me back the video? I didn't receive any email about it.

Or does this mean my video was restored and penalty removed only until they review my appeal? And I will receive an email about their decision at some point?

Please guys in the know who have been down this road with Youtube before, let me know???

Bump for my last message...

Let me just say that my video was restored after I appealed the suspension. The video is alive and well still.

Also, the Freedom removing my monetization situation. I contacted them about it and they said it's because I haven't posted in over 3 months. And as soon as I post another video I should contact them, and they'll enable monetization again. But I've been lazy and didn't make a video still. It's on my to-do list.

So I guess all is well that ends well. This whole situation was just an unnecessary inconvenience. What's a guy to do eh..
