Sup twigs-n-berries,

Just bored to tears and needed some good horror movie suggestions. Something to really get me shaking under my blankets in abject terror.

Please nothing about witches or psychics in any way, shape or form - that just pisses me off lol.

Something like this:

I stopped watching horror films in the early 2000s. They're more about blood and gore than actually scaring me and/or plot.

I've never even seen a horror movie that terrified me. I mostly laugh at them. They're so ridiculous. Idk how anyone can take them seriously.

Yeah to be honest, really good movies like Shutter Island, etc... turn out not to be very scary because they are so engrossing. But occasionally you can find some good heart thumpers. The ring scared the living shit out of me the first time I saw it haha.

I refused to watch The Ring. Give me the first two Wishmasters and Last House on the Left any day.

What if you watched it with me? ; )

I don't want you to go through life missing out on solid jump scares. By the way, Last House on the Left looks too gorey and without enough supernatural shit heh

Annabelle . The second movie is coming soon btw.
I'm an Horror movies addicted, but Annabelle is the only one that ever scared me af .

Last House on the Left is about some parents who kick the collective asses of the people who assaulted and killed their daughter. It's more thriller than horror, but it's still good.

What about Poltergeist? The original one.

I always can't sleep when i watch some fucking Korean/Japanese horror

I would recommend Coherence, although it is not a horror movie but it will surely freak you out.

I would suggest you 'The Babadook, Night of the Living Dead, A Nightmare on Elm Street
Reply me your feedback after watching :)

I haven't seen Get Out, only Split. That one is not really scary. The plot lacks, but good acting from James McAvoy.

@pewep:
Just from the top of my head a few scary movies, which are not necessarily your classic horror flics: The Mothman Prophecies, Turistas, The Blair Witch Project, The Silence of the Lambs, The Descent, The Village.
+1 The Beach, it's a fucking great movie.

Maybe it wouldn't be scary now, but i remember when i was a kid, X-Files (the series) was pretty scary.

If you want gore as well: Martyrs, Srpski film.
