[Case Study] How to Properly Set Up Your Instagram Profile

Thank you so much for such great information! I am relatively new to ig, yesterday I was all afternoon changing my bio, I hope it is good enough .. reading this post I think I did it well...

What if it's a personal account and you're using your real name? I am sure some don't really have nice and catchy names.

Creating your own personal brand can be effective. I would rather see @YourRealName rather than @RealOvernightMillionaire, but that's just my preference. If you do this, you definitely need to make it clear in your content, bio and profile picture what you are all about; otherwise, people just won't know who you are.

You could do some type of transition period of using a niche name like @RealOvernightMillionaire and then eventually switching to @YourRealName once you become somewhat of a celebrity, but that's somewhat risky. I'm sure a lot of people have different opinions on this.

Great thread! If you don't want to spend a few bucks with your logos, you can always use canva (dot) com

Another simple thing you can do is take a picture within your niche, fill a black layer on top of it and set the opacity to 50%, and then slap your account username's text on it. It's very simple and will be easy enough for most people.

You don't necessarily need to do anything complicated to have a good logo.

Hello, thanks to your post i reviewed my instagram profile, changed the profile picture to a logo and edited a bit the bio.
I still don't have a website but i am working on it, since it will be more professional looking.

Check out my ig if you wish, to give me feedback!

HI, can someone link me best sim cards for PV, i bought 100 of them and i discovered that they are all flagged.
Thanks

In the past you have said that male instagram fitness profiles and motivational accounts are very slow growing. I'm a male and into both of those niche's so would you still say its worth pursuing it? i only have 5.5k followers at the moment.

I noticed a ton of accounts with the profile saying:
Age
My husband left me
Click me link (what are you a pirate?)
Go.ogle./short

I mean c'mon and put some efforts into the profile at least. But I do wonder how many idiots click it.

You can still pursue both, but the rate of growth is slower typically than most other niches (supply doesn't meet demand), but if you can provide quality, unique content it would be worth it.

I've never done adult marketing; but I agree, they all come off as lazy.

Honestly, before you think about any of these, it should be more important to post quality images and build a follower base until you get to the point where your bio and logo actually matters. Sure, your follow rate might be higher, but most newbies don't even make it to 5k+ because they take sooo long wasting time on making perfect before they even get to a small milestone. Honestly, keep it simple and stupid and you can always change it later on. Don't be discouraged by not being able to come up with a good logo and bio, just keep it simple and start growing followers until you can get big enough as to where it would be better to change your bio and logo into a better one.

Just my few cents. Great post.

How long should 5k take? I have been working on my account for two weeks and I am have 530 Followers with 100+ likes and 10+ comments per photo. Is this normal? Good? Any advice?

I use Later.

It depends on your settings, niche, and method... I'd say its very possible to safely achieve 1000 a month without aggressive settings. My best results, I've achieved 2,000 in a month doing MassPlanner & Manual.

Heres the math roughly.... 500 followers per day x 15 days = 7,500 follows, 500 unfollows x 15 days = 0 Followers...

Assuming a 15% Follow back = 1,125 followers per month

If you have new accounts, i recommend spending a month warming them up, then another month or two gradually scaling up them up. Anything aggressive and the account may be banned.

Appreciate you taking the time to reply man. I am on track for about 800-900 in a month hopefully!

I am in the Streetwear/fashion niche RN! Using Instagress! I am only doing around 100 follows a day right now warming it up!

Thank you!

another great thread !
For logos you can find free psd or vector on freepik.com (I always use this website to get graphics for free ! )

Very helpful and Great info! Thanks man :D

I wonder how much all of this helps in relation to how many followers you have. I have noticed massive returns over time once I got close to 10k, and then looking back at my day 1 stats 6 months ago its insane. Try to hype up the value of your page in as many ways as possible, even if non-authentic (without ruining it like buying followers) In my niche, making your posts look like they were effortless to make is huge.
