Update #1: Membership Stars
I'm excited to announce that the stars are coming back, everyone! We've heard your pleas and we want you to know that we're listening. However, there's something you should know about the new stars: we've made a few changes to the way they work.
Those of you who joined before 2016 will remember that you would receive a new star (and, depending on the level, star colour) at a certain post count. That's no longer the case. Instead, the new star system will reward new members with a full set of stars just for joining while senior members lose stars as they gain posts! How great is that!?
This is to solve two problems on the forum:
- It will increase the motivation levels of new members.
- It will discourage post count inflation.
Rockin' stars, right?
Due to the unusually high demand for stars, we're releasing temporary stars to Jr. VIPs and above with accounts 3 years or older.
Update #2: A Solution To Ban All Scammers
During our research, we discovered that all scammers leave behind a little message in their posts. It's somewhere... Eh... Somewhere in that red circle. I think. Maybe it's a few pixels to the left.
Upon closer inspection, we can see that these scammers leave behind the same lines of code in every post.
Code:
01110111 01110101 01100010 01100010 01100001 00100000 01101100 01110101 01100010 01100010 01100001 00100000 01100100 01110101 01100010 00100000 01100100 01110101 01100010
Naturally, this piqued our interest, so we translated this code and learnt that it means, "I am in great pain, please help me". Apparently, these scammers are not only aware of their actions, but they're in great pain and actually want to be banned. Crazy, right?
Thanks to this revelation, we can now ban all scammers by auto-banning all non-mod accounts that use this code.
Update #3: Yellow Lives Matter
We've noticed that a lot of non-Jr. VIP members are under the notion that Jr. VIPs don't need to follow the rules here. They do need to follow the rule, so quit propagating lies.
Ehem, anyway, we know what this is REALLY about. We understand that yellow members feel unappreciated around here, but this couldn't be further from the truth. In order to show our appreciation toward our yellow members, every banner on Black Hat World will be replaced with this logo signifying the unity of our yellow and blue members on the forum. We plan to implement this on May 24th, 2017.
Now can't we all just get along?
Update #4: Old School Black Hat World
Do you hate the new design? Well you're in luck! There have been some cool new things cooking up over at Black Hat World HQ, and after many years of research, we're finally ready to introduce Old School Black Hat World!
Ah, do you smell that nostalgia? Living in the past has never been easier! Old School Black Hat World will incorporate the old design you know and love with... Are you ready? Artificial intelligence. That's right, thanks to advancements in AI, you'll even be able to chat with AI versions of former members from 2005-2009! How cool is that?
Please note that Old School Black Hat World will be a completely separate forum, meaning whatever you post over there will not show up here and vice versa.
Old School Black Hat World will be accessible in a link on the sidebar around July, 2017.
Update #5: Dating Subforum
Love is in the air, and what better place to share the love than on Black Hat World?
We've noticed a few members (I'm looking at you, @Nut-Nights) express their interest in dating some of the other members. This gave us the idea of not only opening up an entirely new subforum, but revamping our member profiles to make it easier for you to find that special someone.
The new BHW profiles will allow you to add even more information about yourself such as:
- Marital status
- How many kids you plan to have
- Your birthstone
- Whether you smoke
- Whether you drink
- What you're looking for in a partner
- Favourite movies
- How many pets you have
- What kind of relationship you're interested in
- A member who wants to post their dating offer will submit their thread in the dating subforum.
- A marketplace moderator will test your desirability and either approve or deny your BST based on how well they're treated (pro tip: marketplace moderators like fine dining)
- Once the thread is approved, you pay the listing few and wait for the love requests to roooooll in.
Don't miss out on a chance to be loved on Black Hat World! You deserve to be loved!
