Is lnstagram.be (Lnstagram.be) worth something?

So I bought this domain a couple of months ago and I used it as a redirecting url to my websites (From Instagram) As the l (L) looks like a capitalized I (i) it could give a better click rate in Instagram bio's bc people think it's a 'official' instagram link. I know that sounds dumb but hey, there are also people still believing the iPhone Sweepstakes huh?

I'm not 'saying' that I'm selling this domain name, I'm just really interested in how much such a domain name is actually worth.

I would think that you would have trademark issues should IG see that domain.

It is not exact in the name but it could be considered that you are stomping on their TM by using lnstagram as opposed to Instagram.

Never really thought about that tbh. Thanks for mentioning. Would that mean that I could get a fine if Instagram finds out that I'm using this domain name?

Not a fine as it is not criminal but a civil issue... they could send you a mild cease and desist (they are not mild the first time you get one but after a while you get used to them) or they could outright sue you which would suck.

Odds are you'll only get a letter via Fedex or something but if you never got a C&D in the past it is a little disconcerting.

I have gotten a whole bunch of them over the years and recently one from a company that sent me one back in 2010 or so (for a different site)... not sure of the date of first one.

You can use it until the C&D if you want to gamble a little bit but they could go postal and just sue you straight up like CL did (@wrangler) back in the day.

If it was a .com then maybe just maybe... but no, the domain you own is not worth anything.
