I want to start off by saying this forum has been very helpful from the few posts I've read, so I decided to start an account. I have a decent job unrelated to internet marketing, however have a hand in said company's marketing directives.
A few months back I decided to learn the basics web design and purchased some domains, made some sites (which are very niche oriented and for a couple months in I'm quite pleased with their traffic - probably around 300k/visitors a month if I combine the three main ones I've worked on. Resultantly, I enjoy this process much more than I expected. I've even learned how to set up and host an .onion site through Amazon EC2!
So, this past Sunday, I decided - why not take what little knowledge I've gained in the past few months and have a website with advertising of some sort. With no clue where to start, I decided - everyone's favorite - adult website.
So I made an adult website, which I'm using as a testing ground for what will be a real adult site when I get the hang of this. I signed up for a couple affiliate programs. Sunday I earned .3 cents! Monday .13 cents! Tuesday .19 cents! So in a few days I'm up to 1000+ views a day with no google presence. I'd like to continue this sort of growth. My goal is simply to make enough from this website to cover the cost of hosting it for one year. Which is a small goal, and I feel a good place to begin.
I DO NOT expect to get rich, nor am I looking for a quick scheme. However, I am open to any and all suggestions on where to start. So please feel free to message me or respond to this thread.
