Preparing for my journey to richies

Hello everyone!

I joined BHW to learn IM for 1 reason only: to not work for a corporation where my life will be wasted away... but to be able to make money from anywhere in the world and be able to enjoy the better things in life. I've been reading the threads and there are so many fields a newbie can step into, and since Its all scattered all over the place and its so much info and so overwhelming and frustrating to learn fast, I would like to ask a few questions from the the ones who are earning above 80$/per day:

1.Is knowing how to code important? if yes, which types of code should i learn?
2.Would having a mentor help me achieve my goal of 80$/day faster?
3.Is there a "code of honor" or a set of "rules" that you recommend i should always follow?
4.Is there a list of topics/subject you would recommend as the 'foundations of IM'?
5.How long did it take you to make a stable amount of profit to satisfy the cost of your basic survival?
6.How many hours per week or per day do you spend in total on IM?
7.Can i accomplish this as a 1 man force? or do I need to build a team?

4. No, IM is broad. So depends which topic you pick (SEO, Social Media etc)

1. No. Understanding the basics definitely help though (as you can properly explain your project and have enough understanding to know what type of dev to hire)
2. Obviously.
3. Adapt or get paved the fuck over.
4. HTML / CSS. An understanding of SEO (on/offpage).. Good place to start,
5. Few months, but the entire IM climate was different back then.
6. 8+ hours a day. Generally 7 days a week.
7. Can and should do it yourself to start. Sourcing work out before you understand all the concepts necessary to success is counterproductive IMO.

1. It'll be a big help to you, just as being able to design will as well. Neither are necessary but I've saved a small fortune being able to do both.

2. If by mentor you mean a gurutard, then no.

3. Karma's a real bitch.

4. Learn On-page first, it'll save you a lot of headaches later down the line.

5. I started with E-commerce and Ebay so not long at all. I've always preferred that side of IM.

6. Right now, way too much. 8-12 a day easily and some serious late nights getting shit done. Typically it's a lot less though.

If you're diving into this because you think it's going to be a real easy way to make money, think again. It's serious work, especially at the beginning.

7.Depends on what you want to do. Outsourcing parts of your IM strategy to others that are more experienced or have the resources to do it is common enough.

As far as virtual assistants go, I don't tend to bother with them as they're usually more trouble than their worth.
