Wordpress sucks why do people use it

Why do people go through the trouble of using wordpress for site.Just learn to program so you'll have more control of the website like databases and implementation of php

How is wp time consuming? It's quicker than writing php and css from scratch

having said that I do enjoy creating html & bootstrap css websites, but only in my spare time

WP is convenient for most of us, we don't have time to write up a script for 294810249154158 websites
and it's easy for us to manage.
With a responsive template its good.
But that's besides the point, if you don't like WP, stop whining over other's using WP and don't use it yourself.
Noone told you to use WP.
