A page’s rankings can be hijacked by another domain that uses identical content under specific circumstances, such as problems with indexation or being a more authoritative source.

im nearly done scrapping .pdfs in my niche. I can see some are very old but i should be uploading this babies in a few hours.....Funny thing is some dont seem to be indexed.

Yes. But there's a 302 redirect involved.

Stars do align, in fact.

All you have to do is sort out the non-indexed documents based on authority and only choose sites with actual authority and brand. That way, there's actual brand searches playing around keywords for the documents. Once you do that, you setup your site for these.

You then scale this up by going further and finding other document files, audio files and video files from these authority sites.

The main point here is NOT a set of keywords to scrape but understanding the algorithm more and how it treats redirects. Armed with that knowledge, there are things you can easily adjust to add a bit more of diversity in one's SEO efforts.

Someone shared this thing days ago, but today I read the article link there, very interesting have to say! Could you serve some ideas how to find such "Doctypes" which still not index yet? And what you have to do in your site? Just post the same content or you still need put with a rel=canonical thing? This case study is so weird, I am afraid its a bit hard to utilize it in bulk or do i miss sth here.
