Hi guys.

I have videos up getting some views but i'm hardly making anything through adsense. Okay, I don't have the skippable ads enabled right now, because i'm more focused on getting views and subscriptions before I enable them. But still, my adsense earnings are really low.

A video I uploaded about 2 weeks ago now has roughly 56 thousand views. All legit. None of have been bought and the video hasn't been spammed around. According to my 'Estimated Revenue', it says i've earned $6.74. This is hardly anything for 56 thousand views. I was hoping i'd at least get $1 per thousand.

The video as well as my others often feature words such as 'sexy', 'bum', 'boobs' in the title, description and tags. They are accurate words when describing the video but I am just wondering if this is the reason why my earnings are so low? What can I do to change this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks alot.

Yes, they do, and yes, it's the reason your earnings are so low.
$1 per 1k views is already good these days, $.5 is more likely.

Yes they will as the advertisers will be little less for these sections.

Okay. Thank you both for replying. I understand how words like, 'boobs' and 'ass' could be bad, but words like 'sexy'? I've seen more popular youtubers using words such as 'sexy' so I presume they are fine using it.

Another question if you don't mind answering. Do new youtube accounts take a little while before they start earning a decent amount per 1000 views? I mean, does the adsense rate increase after you're constantly getting views and growing in subscribers?

Adsense CPM/RPM depends on your Audience like Education, Location, Age, Income ect - Adult Audience is cheap and the Rates are pretty low in general.
