Please, i need some valuable help and advice on how i could gather some keywords (up to 20) to start off my new blog.

i am planning on starting a new blog this week. But, want to be sure that the contents i write could possibly rank in search results. Pls, how can i know the potential of a paticular keyword before writting on it at all.

For that first you will need too choose the niche you want to write one.

Second choose the products or things you want to write about.

Third then try to search for potential keywords by dong their research and see the potential competitors ranks for those terms also check search volume,PA,DA ,Social metrics etc for those competitors.

And see the competition is low or medium or high as you are new to those so better to target low to medium for starting.

Fourth then write the genuine long and valueable content for that term and try to be make sure include that term in title of post also other supporting which makes it attractive and for content write at least 1500-2000 words article related to review,case study or some motivation thing it depends on your niche.

And last you will need to know about On Site seo factors and OFF site SEO then you must rank for such terms as SEO is not that easy you just write anything and it get ranked need a lot of efforts and $ too .

Try some tools like keywordshitter.com, Long Tail Pro, and keyword.io, which tell some keywords related to your niche.
To know the keyword competition, try the semrush.com.

Simply go with SEMrush and long tail pro platinum. Both will help you but be aware how keywords should be. Based upon the competitor the SEO will be done to get ranking on your targeting search engine. Do some manual research before select the keywords.

Finding new 20 keywords is simple and it will take 5 minutes only. But finding low compettion keywords is vital in building websites.
A low competition keywords should be less competitive. Dont forget to analyse the competitor backlinks and their age. You dont have to strugle on search engine ranking after build site and spend money. Thats why telling.
