How can I promote my books ?

I wrote many historical books and they are going Ok. But how can I promote them effectively ?

I started instagram and got some 100 followers but they do not interact with the link i provided there. I also have a homepage but it is only decent and i only sell like 100 copys total of my books each month.
i started buying Promo in a book niche Forum and I spent 100 for it and have a positive roi because I earned 108 with it.

So the key question is: How can I bring it to the next level ?

Yes this is indeed something that I forgot doing so I only collected a list of only ->20<- people xD but I started with that now.

email marketing, social media marketing, social media ads and so on will help you sale your book.

I have an Instagram account and I am collecting followers on it. I try to find good facebook groups but it is hard to identify good ones. For Email marketing my list is too small xD And with social media ads I only have little experience. I bought ads for a Forum and made a little profit with that but all readers of the forum just saw the ad so it is not worthy to make another campaign ^^

Start with what you have. Spend few hours everyday in twitter. Follow many people who loves reading books of your kind. Follow those followers who follower writers like you in twitter. You can buy lots of email address at low cost for email marketing.

You haven't mentioned Amazon and eBay, you not on there?

If you haven't already you should get them on the kindle store also look into Goodreads, a site where people list their favourite books and often share social media details, it also has quite an active forum community.

Thx for your advice and I already do so but it grows pretty slow I only get 30 followers per day on instagram and nearly nothing on twitter.

I sell them all over Amazon.

I gave same Advice to one of my frn. He created 10 twitter accounts and gain followers of 400+ in each account by following followers from niche related profile follower. I don't know what wrong you did. May be you need some patience and continue it for few days following other. Remember " Follow followers of your related niche profile"

Put it up on ebay amazon kindle and book review sites like good reads.

I would invest in a promotional video/trailer for your book and posting it on social media. You might also want to create a specific hashtag to use and add it to all your social media content. Also get in contact with book bloggers and send them sample chapters to see if they would be interested i promoting your book. Good luck!

Try so-called Shoutouts strategy to promote your book in social networks. You need to find several accounts in Instagram and groups/pages on Facebook that are related to history, books, publishing, etc. Look for accounts that have at least 10-15k followers, contact the owner, and ask if you can pay them to post your advertisement
