PBNs are the ONLY effective link method left.

For anyone who doesn't know, OP's post was bullshit. He does not rank medium competition keywords with only 15-25 PBN links. We have way too many of these shit talkers in BHW.

And guess posts and web directory links do still work as part of your link building strategy.

Maybe because your PBN is a network of shitty sites with spun content on crappy TF 6 domains that even a bot can figure out doesn't mean that PBN is dead, it means that people like you are done, and good riddance too...

Glad this isn't just me... average domains with 30-50 RDs for 100-200 $$$ on auctions.

Guess it's just a supply & demand thing.

Please let me share my thoughts. I've been doing SEO for a while now, but when I dug into BHW forum I realised that I know literally nothing. So after some time here + my past experience before I've formed this kind of lnikbuilding routine. I would be super grateful if you could criticise/compliment it with your suggestions.
-for white big clean brand site:
I'm spending 60-70% of my budget on expensive paid posts/guest posts on high authority sites like huffington, forbes, lifehack, etc. There are some good vendors here as well as on fiverr. The rest is spent on relevant good comments (currently I pay around $4 for one hand written comment under relevant post with very small OBL amount) and small amount of trashy links like directories, doc/infographic/etc submissions, bookmarks, web 2.0 and other stuff like that just to keep the diversity. Here the main juice comes from the paid articles, some amount from comments and no juice from other links.
Honestly I'm afraid to use P(ublic)BN for this kind of sites, since I can't risk them in any case. But I might be wrong here.

-for simpler sites which just need to rank with smaller budget:
PBN links from BHW, diverse automatic submissions (those which create all kinds of links everywhere with multiple tiers) and probably small amount of paid articles/guest posts somewhere.

I understand that it would be better to build my own PBN, and I'm working on it, but it takes time to make everything right when you're new to it. Probably I'll try to build some type of PBN on expired web 2.0 accs first, since it's faster - yet it still needs to be tested.
I'm sure that good PBN should work if you created it by yourself without any significant footprints, but I've also seen how automatic campaigns work, therefore probably they can help too if used properly.

I'm not calling you out or anything, so please don't take this the wrong way. It's just for my own curiosity. I'm a total newbie, so I could be naive.

How long did you try outreach for, how many different ways did you try approaching bloggers (email, social media, etc...), how many different types of content (infographics etc..), before you decided that it was not worth your time and effort?

Don't get me wrong, I'm building PBNs out at the same time... but I read a bunch of @t0mmy 's posts about infographics, I signed up for Piktochart and spent a few hours putting something together based on facts from another, older page I found online.

I contacted 10 bloggers (I plan on contacting 100 just in one random niche) with a very soft approach 'mind if I send this over? I thought you might get a kick out of it', and already 3 have responded. Out of those 1 has already told me to go ahead and write a guest post. These are not my direct competitors, I just linked two kinda unrelated niches together in a quirky way.

So the niche relevance is kind of a stretch, but the guest post I'm writing is certainly contextual to my niche. The guy has 539 RD to that one blog. The infographic took me like 4 hours of work, it was my first time ever making one. It doesn't look pro by any means, but it's colorful and has some interesting facts on it. It's still very novel because most people spamming these guys aren't offering even that much value. The emails I'm banging out in 5 minutes or less, just skimming their site for something to comment on and offering to show them my graphic.

If I could get a 10% response rate, contacting 100 bloggers, based on maybe 8 hours of actual work (probably stretching it, I'm lazy and procrastinate a lot). And these are REAL sites with REAL traffic, with hundreds of RD. How efficient is it to build and maintain a good PBN to get links at that rate?

Maybe I'm being naive and haven't hit the real roadblocks yet. I'm def an introvert so I hate reaching out to people and facing rejection. I'm just seeing it work so easily, that I'm wondering how many people have actually gone out there and tried.

.... SEO 101; so long as SEO exists, strategies such as PBN's will always be prevalent, the execution just changes (when i was in seo years back, web 2.0's on steroids was still a thing, now the same strategy probably won't do much).

I've been ranking a poker site i created in 2015, what I've noticed is that metrics such as ctr,site speed, social signals have made a bigger impact than simple link building. I had an influencer in the poker scene send out some social signals for one of my articles, i saw an immediate jump within a week. Conversely, i did some pbn posts, i mean it made some difference, but not as significantly as other strategies have done. But, without the pbn posts, i know some of the keywords wouldnt even be visible in serps so something like ctr would be useless.

I think you need an amulgamation of strategies to be successful these days, saying only pbn works is stupid, saying pbn don't work at all, is stupid. That's my 2 cents anyway but who gives a shit about the goatlover.

SEO is currently in a very dangerous state. I don't give a shit what anyone says. I have multiple projects many of them already on the first page using grey hat tactics such as tiered link building, pbns, web 2's, articles, Press releases, out reach, auth blog comments, and etc. Bottom line is even though i try to keep everything clean google seems like they really don't give a fu*k anymore and have change their algo drastically!

I honestly don't give a shit what reputable members have to say on this forum because i have been in the game since 2010 and i know we are all in serious shit.

But no, people go for super fistfucking narrow niche relevancy, rather than clean domains with decent metrics. Why? Beyond me. "I am in a software coding java niche". Uhm, right, because regular "computers" aren't enough. "I want hair extensions niche", sure, because "shopping" is not enough. "I want parenting 20RD+ 15TF+ DA10+, never redirected in the past, brandable bla bla" - Fuck off - You have no idea how often I want to say this to a client, but I can't :(

In a year or two, the prices will be 2 - 3 times higher than what they are today. PBN will become a game for the wealthy and poor will be happy with whatever RD10+ domain they will be able to get their hands on. Of course, 90% of users here will gladly start registering shit without even checking the history and then, just like a week or two back, starting threads that there was an update and PBNs are dead. Yeh, maybe if you wouldn't register spammy domains, your PBNs would be perfectly fine.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, a well designed PBN will last the age of time and each Google update. PBN's are not dead and have been driving my money sites for years. I've been apart of quite a number of PBN services, some for testing and some for long term. The best ones are the ones that don't scream PBN and make blatant footprints. For example one PBN I've been apart of for probably 5+ years and none of their sites have ever been deindexed. They aren't the usual PBN service that you see around here with stock templates, ~300 spun low quality posts a month linking to everything from pharma to the latest supplement magic pill.

I'm shocked people still buy into those given the fact the shelf life of those is extremely limited and will hand out a nice penalty once caught.
