Correct me if i'm wrong, but when it comes to seo, I don't see anything other than PBNs being relevant anymore. Let's see, the GSA style backlinks were scrapped long ago. Link wheels etc, pretty much useless. I pretty much have ranked all my low-medium comp keywords with PBNs only. I used social signals and blog comments ONLY for diversity and to make the link profile look natural. But my rankings really only came from powerful PBN links usually takes 15-25 to rank #1 for a medium competition keyword.

Guest posts, out reach, stuff like that is very slow and hit and miss. Sure it may help if you can manage to get a MAJOR site to link back to you, but the likelihood of that... is low. And the returns are really not guaranteed. Plus it is way more work than any other method, and much slower.

Web 2.0s, they sound nice in principle, but link juice is a real thing. And freshly made web 2.0s carry virtually no URL link juice. Thus they have virtually no effect on SERPs. Unless you add thousands of pages of content and redirect to web 2.0 home page. Just to rack up the PA, but then again, that is also quiet a slow process (unless you have a bot) and still not as powerful as a link from a high metric aged domain.

Social signals, shares etc... I've tested it and they have a marginal effect on rankings. May help indexing too. But its so minimal that you would hardly be able to spot it within the natural serp fluctuations.

This really only leaves PBN as the link method that can reliably return results... Tell me if theres anything else.

That was saracasm lol. And I dont believe google will be smart enough for a long time to trace down PBNs. A well made PBN is virtually untraceable. As long as you leave no footprint.

But if you Managed to get links from high DA/TF niche Relevant Websites I think it's more effective than a PBN and more Safe too.

The problem with the PBNs is, that people are not aware of the situation how hard is it to find some decent domains. Everybody and their mother want niche relevant domains these days and there are some niches that are simply impossible. I encounter this every day:

- I want TF20+ beauty/health with RD20+, brandable, etc, bla bla.
- You won't find a domain like that ever.
- But I have already found 5!

And when you check, those domains are spammed to 7th hell.

So in regards to the latest "Google update" and all that crap... It's simply amazing how can people be super paraonid about Google crap. Ehmagerd, there was an update! Now I need everything to be super niche relevant, because one guy on the forum said that (Or my favorite "I read somewhere") they are resetting the links now aaa aaaa panic! So instead of caring about the first and foremost thing, getting clean domains only, people rather register spammed shit within niche. And there are services, some really high profile ones, even on this forum, that barely do any background check on the domains at all, check only archive.org and sell half broken shit, which will get kicked in the ass by Google down the road.

Have you seen the prices on auctions lately? RD100 domains going for $400 no problem? Some RD200 going for $800 etc. If you want a domain from auctions for a normal price and half decent strengh, you should take a mortgage. If you want to scrape a clean domain with decent metrics, you should buy at least 5 scrapers, 6 majestics and have fingers crossed to find at least something.

Wait... Ive never heard of this. I get the VA emails thing. Im assuming you make and send a generic offer for sponsored links. But what exactly are you scraping? The contact details of blog owners? how the hell do you do that. I only use xenu for general scraping.

Yeah haha when I see those packages in the SEO links section im like yeahh.... I can easily find high metric domains. With RD100+ and all that shit. But the point is that half the time those links coming to the domain have no juicce, are deindexed, or spammy shit. Metrics mean NOTHING, until you manually check the overall link profile. That is, how many active links with good juice from reliable domains are coming to the URL of the domain youre looking to buy. And then as long as the domain is brandable I dont even are about relevancy. As long as its in the ballpark, its rebrandable. Google determines niche from the site content NOT from the backlinks, because backlinks can easily be modified. Well this is good news for me because it just leaves less competition for me.

The point of this thread was that, I can't think of anything other than PBN I keep hearing stuff like guest posts, social media shares, tiered web 2.0s but in my experience that stuff really doesnt do much. Just being honest... The hardest part though is like you said. Getting real quality domains.
