mirror mirror on the site

Ever have a question that is so niche specific and simple it doesn't even appear in the search engines?
Das me ri nao.
I uploaded the files from a site I want to mirror using htttrack into the wordpress directory of the site I wish to use as the mirror.
But I don't know what to do after that, like how do I get the site to respond to the files to become the mirror?

If you copied a site using httrak it won't work in WP.
You can upload to a blank hosting account. And make sure you have an index.html file in the root.

That should work out of the box (although off the top of my head I don't know if httrack makes all the links relative and ready for uploading).

I'm gonna assume you're using linux, just give your server this command:

httrack "http://www.website.com/" -O "/wordpress/www.website.com" -v

Just adjust it for whatever you're doing.

For wordpress, it's going to be super tricky because not every file is readable. In fact I'd say nearly impossible
