How to get more engagement?

My IG account is aspiring.photo, https://www.instagram.com/aspiring.photo/
I bought about 3,900 followers and some likes on this account but recently I've been doing follow and unfollow. I'm only unfollowing the people that don't follow back. Are there any tips to get more engagement? I've been thinking about buying a promotion from a big account and I'm already using hashtags.

My questions:
1)How do I get more engagement and active followers?
2)Is selling shoutouts a good way to make money? And if not, what are some ways to get a steady income?

also you have 3900 fake followers, so yeah they wont do anything for engagement apart from bring it down, assuming that your most recent post does not have fake likes or anything its not bad engagement for the amount of real followers you have.

You should target big accounts with good engagement in your niche, and unfollow everyone, ultimatly if you don't you will follow 7500 people and your account won't look legit at all. For monetization, shoutouts are good, but don't expect alot of money before 100k followers. Good luck in your journey bro

i have about 500 real followers and only about 200 of them engage. i get at least 120 real likes per picture i upload. i upload 3 times a day

I comment on big accounts asking them to check out my account. i always unfollow the people that arent following me so i can have a better ratio. thank you
