I spent the last 2 days trying to find a dotcom domain. Every single fucking 3 word fucked up domain name I came up with is available for sale $XXXX. I hate this part of IM. Why isn't this illegal yet. Those fuckers need to be destroyed!!

What are your thoughts on this?

How do you find brandable domain names?

I need to clam down...

Brandable = / = 2-3 Word domains.

You don't even need a domain name that makes sense for it to be considered a brand.

As long as it sounds good and isn't too damn long it can be considered brandable.

I think it starts sounding cool when it becomes a brand. Buzzfeed, facebook, vimeo

Sry if that was confusing.

In Brazil (com.br domains) can be contested. If you don't own nothing related to that domain, they may simply take it away from you. Imagine if this rules applied to global scale?

Exactly.

I choose 3-5 letter words so they're short. Even if they mean nothing it will mean something as soon as it generates monies.

Most of my domain name ideas don't make any sense, still almost EVERY of my domain ideas are taken by those fuckers.

It's not illegal. It's just like real estate. :)

Technically it's the same, but personally I find it to be a totally different thing & wish it would be illegal to put anything related to this domain is parked & available for sale on any website.

I have two domain ideas (brandable) that I won't buy for now, If you want, I can send you a PM. (Both are available)

Are you checking with namecheap? If so try internetbs... they don't tend to sell them at a premium price like namecheap do

I had a client who owned an exact match dot com and had owned it since 2010. In 2014, someone copyrighted those same words, and then came after him for the domain name, claiming copyright infringement, even though he had owned the domain for four years prior. They submitted a removal request to Google, and they deindexed his site as a result. They also submitted a legal notice to his web host, and they promptly locked the domain for dispute.

The domain landscape is a wild wild west of legality and morality.

Just start your domain with FGoogleKeywordsGoHere.com
