How do I contact members directly?

I can't seem to figure it out.

I have the generic "Welcome to Black Hat World!", etc. messages in my inbox, but I'd like to contact another member over DM. I know it's a total noob question but then again I'm a total noob here.

You don't have permissions to DM anyone yet... go ahead and ask your question in one of the public forums and I'm sure that someone will be happy to help you out.

Okay, thanks for the head's up. How do I get permission? Me and another member here talked about setting up a JV thread and while back, and I'd like to contact him specifically to see if this is still something he'd be interested in.

Go ahead and post that in the thread where you were discussing a JV.
