Case Study drop -50 or -100 in SERPS in 24 hours!

Most of them old sites. Haven't been touched by in years. Dropped cause I neglected them. Did not build links. (White hat suckers would scream "more free content". And Google filters got tighter and tighter -

Well. When I got my Christmas present of phpbuilt guide ---- I was able to revive every homepage I tinkered with in 48 hours :)

And as long as the white hat spill their guru crap (they can cause they get 1000x of generic backlinks that dilute worse on page to some extent ) of natural content I am happy (hobo-web.xx.xx/keyword-density-seo-myth/. Keeps the competition believing this sh1t ;)

And btw: all this is FREE. One site gets 3x traffic now :).

And now. I am cleaning up most of the top 20 ranking inner pages. It's a mess ... Some got like 200x the same keyword :(

Sniffing around in some stats, i found this impressive baby that ranked from nowhereland to page 1. just ON PAGE SEO.
Raping the serps now.
Sad thing, 1-9 is flattened with authority sites like DR 66, 70 and 60 ;)

Science/eduction niche. #19 - and it was a subpage (which is wrong).
defucked my target page, which was the homepage.
48 hours later it was, #1 !

Reallly wish I could show some traffic stats ....

I made 2 sites like 2 weeks ago, they got indexed but are nowhere in the serps, the competition is very low by the way.

Do you know if it could be the keyword density screwing me? I'm using around 0.8-1% on the main keyword in both sites.

Changed density on 2 articles to test yesterday.

One had 1.50% the other 1.27%
First one is now at 1.08% the other at 0.9%

First one dropped from #25 to #28 (its maximum was top #8 but it feel down to 20's for some reason, was hoping this could get it back up)
Second one dropped from #3 to #4

Will wait a whole week and see, if they don't go back up then I'll change the density again

~6 days have went by.

#1 is now at #27 but I also did send some links.

#2 is now at #4, didn't move and I've sent a few PBN links since then.

Overall it had a negative impact.

Will try upping the density again and see if they move up.

Basically I still believe that keyword density is the same for all keywords, word count doesn't matter. (Example: You can have the keyword "Black Hat World Money Generator" have the same density as the keyword "Dogs Food" even though the first one is a lot bigger/has more words.)

I also believe the perfect keyword density is still between 1.1 and 1.4%

I have also changed all keyword density to level 0.7-1%, but i see only improvements. So i think you have problem with offsite seo or something.

Sorry but that is 'physically' impossible. If your keyword is 10 words long, and your article is 100 words long, your kw is taking up 10% of the article, not 1% just because it is mentioned once.

We count long tails as a regular keyword, when we speak about density we speak about how many times that keyword appears within the article (regardless of it being a 2 word keyword or a 10 word keyword)

Impossible, since I changed the density the ranking went down and I've even sent 2 extra PBN posts( I'm drip feeding I'm sending ~2 per week) so my offsite got stronger not weaker.

I know what keyword density means, however I'm of the belief (as well as many others) that the allowance changes depending on the keyword length.

Another example, if your keyword is 10 words long and you have a 1000 word article, are you saying that you would have to mention your keyword 10 times to get a 1% density? (10 times ÷1000)×100 = 1%

Yes. most of my keywords are 4-6 words long, I always have them at 1-1.5%, are you implying that in reality it's at 4-8%? I'd be penalized hard by now.

-5 or +5 rankings..

Just to pull out some more of the "gurubloggercrap", this what happens if you JUST tweak the TITLE & H2 of a page.
sadly, those two things are combined in wp (if you dont use a plugin).
another reason why WP fucks up your on page optimisation.... the noobs would buy more links to dilute on page problems :/

and to be honest, I would stay away of using keywords in Hs until I get stable rankins.

also, btw: that also some reason why some 1995 Sites still rank out there. cause they did not went into the "CMS" fuckup phase..

How substantially did you change the content? Just remove/tweak some instances of your keyword being mentioned? Or more or less rewrite the page content?

If these domains are pretty old and have had nothing done to them for years, how can you be sure this isn't just Google giving you credit for updating the content, rather than reacting specifically to your change in keyword density - I have read case studies that suggest that updating or editing existing content can lead to improved rankings - could that not be the case here?

dude, re-wash you your brain and get this "case study gurubloggercrap" "fresh content" lye out of your brain.

the dudes that spill this bullshit of "update exisitng content" crap are just doing content optimisation - but dont know it.

to start, read PHPbuilt guide. follow advice. splittest. done.

I NEVER rerwrite the content. I just lower density.

I got a site that's a bit fucked up off-page I guess and rankings were constantly declining for weeks now. I just lowered keyword density on my page to see whether that will help my rankings back up again as I have nothing to lose. Directly after recrawling nothing seems to have changed. Will wait a few days to see what happens and report. Made a screenshot of current rankings and will post it as a comparison in a few days.

explain off page fu ckup

High percentage of EM anchor links

yeah. that fucked 2 of my sites up....
its a PITA to fix that on page...
my advice. try to make tham as "natural" as it sounds.

plz post ratio here - just b lank they the keywords them self.
