Howcan I rank in Android App store?

Hi Guys,
My app jailbreak VPN is in the app store for about 1 and half years now, It has 100k+ download. Some investor wanted to buy it with 250k recently.

After that, I tried my best to keep my app at top 10 for the keyword "VPN". But I failed. The most of top 10 apps are Chinese app. My App has more server and better UI than Chinese apps. Still, I could not rank it well. How can I rank my App?

I have tried, But resources for ASO is not so much available like SEO. Do you have any suggestions? My reviews are good actually.

Add a link back to the program you offer....

Try and find loads of longtail keywords for the keyword vpn, the rite articles point back to the app.

Fake comment's i am sure there comments ppl can add to the app in question ...

All done via downloads , according to the stats i seen , a application in the top 50 get approx $17k a month and top 10 get $50k a month in income...

Look like downloads way forward so self promoting only way ...

Yeah he's probably right I don't know too much about it. But I heard that the maker of Flappy Bird was buying fake reviews before it became famous. But.. I guess he kind of got exposed for it

It's probably like buying views on a Youtube video. It will get you ranked, but it's possible to be discovered.

I have seen app developers using following strategy:

Buying reviews
Promoting on social media
Giving pay per install

For reviews you can start a campaign at BHW & some amount to those who participate or give them a VPN subs for a month or two.
