Hi guys,
I have an e-mail database with around 1 million real e-mail addresses in it.
I guess there's a very big potential in it, but i'm not using it right now.
So i am open to all suggestions, proposals...

make an email that looks official, send a mass email telling them they're lacking security on their email, as a result, you easily managed to get it, right?
now, tell them you're gonna teach them email security
make an ebook for this (or some fake shit if you don't want it to be for real)
think of where to upload it and use a content locker
profit $$$

Well, no , actually i did not get those addresses the "blackhat" way. A big part of them were collected through the years "adult/dating" and other were bought, exchanged, ... ! The thing is i find it really very difficult to send mails to that amount of addresses without getting blocked as spammer, that's why i don't really know what to do with it.

it doesn't matter how you got them! make them think they were hacked or something and make it look legit!
you don't need to send 1m emails lol, start with 10k a day, honestly I don't know what's the limit, but you're basically sitting on a goldmine

yeah that's what i was thinking too, and i have tried several hostings, vps, dedicated servers, and after 1 or two days, even following the "spam" rules, i get blocked overall lol

OR
make lots of e-mails, figure out a way, buy them idk, and split the 1m
some cpa offers pay you 1$ for each conversion, imagine you make 1/5 out of that million to click your ad
that's $200k for you
EDIT
i'm pretty sure there's bots for sending emails with delay between them
let's say you get 100 email accounts, that means 10k emails sent from each, put a 20s delay between them and hit play, it would take 2 and a half days for 10k emails sent

and are we talkin

Are we talking sending those mails following the unsubscribe link rules and stuff? or just getting some e-mail accounts let's for example say gmail or stuff, and start sending out?

as I said, make the email look legit af
think about it like this, how would you get tricked into it?
don't go into the subscribe/unsubscribe thing because they didn't subscribe for you to tell them they've got vulnerable emails :)) and YOU NEED to tell them "changing the e-mail will not fix the problem" cuz most are just gonna trash it or something like that
i'd go gangsta with this shit "yo dude wtf I hacked your email so easy, you're lucky I did this for research purposes since I'm going to open a company to track down hackers and secure emails, here, i've got this guide that's gonna tell you where you've been doing wrong, READ IT, soon you're gonna have to pay for something like this"
make them say "omg i'm lucky this guy emailed me"
EDIT
remember, you're e-mailing the average joe, not bhw members, they're really easy to trick

I think they were some time ago, but people get spammend so much these days...

dude, I told my gf to start growing her ig account and one guy kept writing to her, and I said to her to tell him to send money in a paypal account for nudes, and the fucker actually paid 50$ for nothing (I was just testing, I wouldn't use her for that lol)
so, yeah, people are stupid, more than you believe

Ogads , send them around 5k a batch with the locking ....

Bounce the traffic of a facebook page or twitter page ...

i have mass mail system, but you need to first clean the data. (remove invalid/hard bounce email)

just buying up lots of email accounts probably wouldn't work. Its not only the account that gets flagged for spam, but also the message you were sending. You would have to alter whatever message you were sending everytime it got flagged.

Also getting 1/5 success rate via unsolicited email seems really really optimistic

hahah on some points yes they are, but on the other hand, lots of guys get nude pics of cam sessions by paying some amount on paypal! we should never forget that sex sells, a lot !

You "might" be sitting on a goldmine... it depends on how you handle it. I am not judging... whether you go black hat, white hat, or gray hat, your list can have significant value.

One million emails is a lot... do doubt. It's important to understand how old they are. Emails lose 2-3% per year (someone told me that, so I have not verified that rate). This means if your list is old, you already have quite a few less than you think you do.

It is critical that you reach out to your list the right way the first time. If your audience trusts you, your list will be of significantly higher value. Why not try to segment that list into different niches, each of which will be super valuable? I'll tell you my idea for doing this in a second, but first let's address how you are managing your list. Your list MUST be managed on an email platform... if you try to send out bulk emails from an email account, you will be blocked. If you have too many immediate opt-outs when using an email platform, they MAY suspend your account. You are not supposed to spam. The good news, on the flip side, is when you provide content that your audience wants, they will be very loyal which will make you a boatload of money. Also note that too many bounced emails will raise a red flag with your email platform service... remember that 2-3% per year email list degradation? Those bad emails will result in a bounce.

Here's my idea
Send out an email with an apologetic tone... tell them that you collected their email address but due to some tech issues you are not sure where you got it. Ask them to kindly check the short list below to see which niche they opted in for. Obviously they never did opt in, but they won't know that and because you are being nice, you are building trust with them. If they appeal to one of the niches you listed, they will likely stay on your list. List three niches, no more. Choose popular topics (niches) but keep them broad, such as "How to Make Money From Home", "How to Lose Weight and Become Fit", and "How to Make a Fortune Buying Real Estate". You get the idea. Tell your audience that they can opt-out at the bottom of the email, and that you apologize if they don't remember you. This too, will build trust. For this to work effectively, you'll need to segment your audience by tagging them appropriately, probably by asking them to click a link corresponding the the niche. Each email platform works differently for this, so you'll need to ask you provider. It would probably be a good idea to also let them know that you are uploading an old list you created so they will work with you with the inevitable high opt-out rate you will probably get. Don't let that stop you though... what you will be left with will be pure gold!!!!!!

I hope you find this useful.
Scott

Unless people know who you are then they're going to mark you as spam. Meaning you'll burn through a ton of IP addresses or if using mail chimp etc they'll ban your account. It easy to get emails, the money is in the relationship between them and you. Which is this case is nonexistent I believe?

@Scott-NYC - That's a fairly clever solution for gauging the interests of a group you have no past knowledge of. Though I wonder if there would be a way to allow someone to opt into multiple lists?

Yes there are! It depends on the email platform you are using though...
