I got 1 million e-mail addresses, open to any proposal!

...or you can send them to a web page for them to check off from a list...

Ya course, but the more actions you require them to do the less people will respond back to your email. So was wondering if you could do multiple signups within the email its self.

Very true.
It's better to have them opt-int to one segment over none... even if they are interested in multiple niches. At least they'd be on the list and you can market to them with trust. At some point, either in email or on the website (where by now they should be spending time), you can introduce the other niche... and provide a free downloadable guide to opt them in...

Hi guys,
I have an e-mail database with around 1 million real e-mail addresses in it.
I guess there's a very big potential in it, but i'm not using it right now.
So i am open to all suggestions, proposals...
Hello, please kindly share to me.
Thanks.

You said, you're collecting these email addresses throughout years. While having 1 million email addresses sounds good (especially if it's not something what you downloaded from the internet, which were already abused by many), it can be that a significant portion of that is inactive by now.
Clean the list first, so you'll have an idea how much of that list is still active, then hire a mailing expert to mail for you or use a service like SendGrid. Cleaning a list that big costs anywhere from a couple hundred to a few thousand depending on which service you use.

Scraped data is garbage.

I would never waste my time and money with scraped data. It's going to have bounces and spam traps and even if you clean it, only know spam traps can be removed. It's also not can-spam compliant.

There is a way to get rid of all possible spam traps, but it will rip the list. That is to verify the data against social media accounts. But you need a custom built program to do it. Also by doing this, you are pulling what should be the most responsive addresses from the list. Because address associated with a social media account are highly likely to be a primary email and checked frequently and not a throwaway address.

If you want to make money and do things legit, you want to buy 3rd party data. Which is data that the users have provided permission to receive messages from third parties and is 100% can-spam compliant. You still need to have 3rd party data cleaned by a reputable list hygiene company, so that you reduce your risks of complainers, traps, etc...

The fresher the data is the better! With older data, accounts that users stop using the provider after a certain amount of time will turn it into a spam trap. Once an account is deactivated by the provider, they will return a bounce message. So anyone sending to that address should be removing it from their list. Then after doing this for a certain period of time, they will turn it into a trap... because no one should be sending to it anymore. So the older the data is, the more likely some of the addresses will have them in it. So older 3rd party data I verify it against SM accounts.

Where after you clean fresh data you just have to mitigate your complaints, so that you stay under the threshold of the provider you are mailing to or the ESP you are using to send with.

I have been monetizing data for over 16 years and know what I'm talking about.

This topic raised a question in my brain. If OP could get flagged for spam, then what about those gurus with 1 mil or more subscribers, how do they send mass emails?

this thread pops up a dozen times every month here
"i have xxxxxx emails how to make money"
aside from the obvious "sell them stuff" nobody gives good info. it's very complicated to send that volume of emails to people who aren't opted-in to anything. consider hiring a consultant who is familiar with doing this because i doubt free info is floating around on this topic. it's likely guarded secrets.
i would just wrap the list up in a nice sales copy and sell it to people who think they can do something with it.

true, you see that daily of course. i use regular bounce checks on it to test if the list is still accurate, and i use to send out too small parts of the list to do some testing. must say that i am sure that 90% of the list is still active .

I don't doubt that you are in business 16 years, i'm in 10 years now too .
But where do I, for one second, give you the idea that i have a crap list scraped from the net?

I was making a statement, I didn't say your list was that. However, most here have scraped lists.

True, and i really am not a fan of those scraped lists, because that is asking for trouble I think.
