Hi, Im looking to get in to commenting on other people blog posts for back links.

I realize that most comment sections are no follow. But I think these are still a ranking factor. So my question is:

Should I be checking there Alexa Rank to see if there actually ranked first? Or should i just go and comment on any post I think I can add value too?

Could really be anything. We do articles on lots of different topics such as: Health, fitness, money, entertainment, Life, computers, pets, Howto's, Product reviews.

Im not sure how Keyword completion relates to the question though?

Blog commenting is an important factor in creating traffic to your site.
Most of them are nofollow link but still you will get some do follow link. It will be treated as backlink only. It will help to create brand recognization and it also helps to build the relationship.

But don't do blog commenting in the irrelevant site from your niche.

Sounds like you know what your doing. Does OBL count if its in the comment section? Also should I be dropping anchor text or just looking for Author Linked to websites comment forms?

Too be frank, Alexa hardly matters.

It would be good, if you do Blog comment on Niche related blogs.
PS: Do check for OBL too :)

Did you tried with A/B testing?

make a list of 20 forms
do 10 with anchor n 10 with Naked URL :)

You'll get result urself ;)

btw, don't use anchor n naked url for same keyword (though KW competitions matter too).

Blog comments good for traffic, but not great for seo.
You have to play the key words, so that you are not in the legal domain

If you are only going for traffic then blog commenting is not the best route IMO.
You would be better off using social media.

As for anchor text, you should go for brand name.

Ahh, I get the keyword thing now. So many things to think about.

ToDo: target Low OBL, Mix up keywords, target Low comp Keyword, target High PR Domains, target brand name, target niche related sites.

its not like nofollow not helps
keep doing all kinds of non spammy backlinks

Don't forget anchor ratio, I use blog comments for diversity and naked urls, because ratio really matters, and put my main KW on PBNs.

What might be better is if you do a guest post on someones blog. Take one of your old articles and have them post it and in the about the author section add in your link. That way you don't have to do any extra work and you get a featured article with your url in it

Blog commenting would be useful for getting genuine traffic, so look at it as a way of building your audience, rather than gaining extra links. However, make sure to only comment on established blogs with large audiences and make useful comments, not gibberish crap.

concentrate on anchor text. make sure it looks natural . then focus on ration of 4 types of anchor text such as, exact match keyword, partial match , Banded , Author, see more, read more.

pls i need help, i have tried all means to submit and self hosted sitemap via webmaster tool , not working, i have used all tricks on google, the blog is blogspot but i have registered domain and redirect
