Hey guys, I just wanted to post this here for more exposure to the issue. It is in my opinion that this is Mass Planners #1 limitation/issue and for me at least, took a while to diagnose. Its quite likely its affecting many of you guys on here as well.

So in a nutshell this is the issue.

MASS PLANNER DOESNT SCRAPE ENOUGH ACCOUNTS

What does this mean?

Your accounts wont finish all there actions.
Accounts with 2m followers will give you errors saying there are no more users available from that source.
Lowered account productivity and less followers gained per day

The reason this happens is because Mass Planner pulls a set number of followers per source for you to use on a daily basis. So regardless of whether its an account with 2m followers or 20k followers, its scraping the same number of accounts from both of them each day.

Now this wont effect the majority of you, however if you have multiple accounts in the same niche this can definitely effect you. I currently have 3 accounts each pulling from 10-12 accounts and they are getting this issue big time. (I found using source sets on MP worked much better than having 30 accounts pull from 100 sources)

So how can you fix this?

Now there are two ways to "fix" this including turning off the setting "Enable follow different users across all Instagram accounts configured in Mass Planner". However this then creates an even worse issue where you will have multiple accounts following the same account in rapid succession. I had one guy comment on a post that he wasn't to happy that 6 of my accounts had followed him over the course of a minute. Nooooot great.

The only other fix is to increase the number of sources, but if your in smaller niche and/or have multiple accounts this wont fix anything. I currently use a little over 100 sources for my accounts, and yet that isn't enough. Sadly there are no more sources for my niche. My accounts only follow about 400 people a day during a follow cycle, which isn't very high for many of you.

What would it take to completely fix this?

Mass Planner needs to add a small feature into the settings that lets us control the scrape settings to our needs. Until they add this, then what you can do with this program is limited.

I mean seriously, telling me that a 2m follower account has no more users for me follow after a few days is ridiculous. Let me know what you guys think, I'm sure some of you are experiencing this right now as well.

Same problem here... I emailed them about this issue... and they want to see my settings print screened.

I'm talking over email with a dev currently about a fix. The general support staff wont have any answers for you. This is what the dev said to me.

Hi Chad,

We could add an option to go through more followers of one account, right now MP goes through the most recent 20k. The only issue with this is that MP will take a lot more time to find users. For example if we changed that to 100k, the follow tool could take more than half an hour to complete and will block all the other tools that you have running on your account until it finishes.
What I recommend you if you really want to follow a lot of users from the followers of a target account is to go in the comment tool and extract followers from that account. Set the Export a maximum of x users to 100 - 200k or more if you want, it will take an hour of more to extract all of them, you shouldnt close MP during this time. AFter it finishes an excel file will popup with the results you can filter them by users that are not private and dont have a profile picture then copy the usernames and add them in one account in the Follow specific users source.AFter that use the option split items with specific accounts to split that list with the other accounts.

Cheers,
Daniel

To me 30 minutes or longer is nothing. My accounts when running properly finish all actions by 3pm, but with this issue they wont even finish by 11pm which is when I have nightmode turned on.

It simply can't scrape 100k-200k users period! Daniel is a good guy but massplanner can't even scrape 5k users and they say its the api limit (I tried it 2-3 weeks ago though), were you able to scrape it properly?

Just curious, can you scrape the accounts with some other tool and then disable the scraping in MassPlanner?

Building something that scrapes users is dead easy. And no need for API cause browser based.

Daniel is being very helpful, which is part of why I love MP. From what I can tell, from how he describes it and from personal experience is that MP only pulls the most recent 20k followers per account. It pulls 200 for each follow action, and maxes out at 20k. However that's the real issue, its only the recent followers.

So regardless of a pages size MP only follows the most recent 20k, meaning after a couple days and a couple accounts, those 20k will be burned through. The only source then is the accounts new followers, so if the account is gaining 1k followers a day, thats your actual source your pulling from. Not the total number of followers for the account. So you will need many big active accounts gaining lots of followers for a consistent source right now.

This fits in with my experience, after changing an accounts sources I have noticed they perform as expected, then after a few days they have the issue all over again. So I guess that means they had burned through that 20k in that time.

Considering I use source sets, I guess Ill have to start testing out rotating accounts according to burn rate and see if this has any effect. Ill test out the comment method tomorrow, although the idea doesn't excite me.

well rotating helps but still if you insert usernames m.p will be faster. Are you able to scrape 10k users btw ?

Man I thought it was just me. I have over 500 sources plugged in right now and it's still not hitting my daily limits. I'm going to export the IDs manually when my accounts are sleeping, I'll post results here. It's such a pain switching out sources every few days when you know there are plenty of targets left.

You can use the private api, search for mgp25's instagram api on github. You need some basic programming, but you can get all the followers of a username .

Can anyone recommend a good user id scraper in the mean time?

In the mean time look up Instagram Scraper by Risto, I think he's a member here (Not associated with him in any way). I purchased this earlier today and I'm happy with it. It's not super fast because you can only run 1 proxy/accnt, but it's working flawlessly in the background on my server. Scraped about 500k in 2 hours.

I've seen it, does he have marketplace thread? It works perfectly for you?

No clue about marketplace man, not sure about rules, so look for it. Like I said I purchased today/yesterday, what it's scraped so far made it worth it. Do you.

Edit - for you to question a $50 product like that speaks volumes. Who are you?

Lol I didn't get your who are you question.

Why are you on a marketing forum questioning a $50 product? I thought I made myself pretty clear man.
I'm not questioning anything. I'm asking your opinion of the software. You scraped 500k in 2 hrs (impressive number for sure) and you didn't even encounter any limits by ig , so how do you do it, that's the question because apparently people are having troubles and ig limits them when scraping like 50-100k users.
