Apparently my name isn't real [Mild Rant]

I decided to dip my toes into Shareasale and signed up for an account last night. Managed to get auto-approved (I don't know if they do this for everyone or not). Anyway, I sent a request out to one of the merchants that looked good for one of my projects.

They emailed back this morning telling me that I needed to update my Shareasale profile with a real contact name...but it is my real name. My real, full name. Then a few hours later (before I had even seen the first message) they decided to decline my application.

So yeah...thanks Mom and Dad.

I thought about it when I was younger, a lot actually. As I got older I found that I actually like my name. It's unusual, but not uncommon. You'll never find it on a keychain in a gift shop, but most people have heard it before. At least here in the US. This is honestly the first time I've ever gotten a reaction like this.

ive only sort of met one other person with that name (kind of because i've spend the majority of my life outside of holland)
I may have embellished a little on the rarity of my first name, but thats only because i wanted to know OPs first name.

I can say however that my last name is one of the rarest around, due to the fact that its just my immediate family that carries the name. But im not saying what my last name is
