How to get payments for membership? US resident

If I start a membership site and I live in the US, what's the best way to get paid? I would rather not pay taxes. The server is in another country if that matters. I'm a noob, sorry. I would like to use PayPal and cc to get paid so I would have to get a tax ID number?
