Need suggestions for high config. PC requirements...

So I am looking to buy assembled PC and got a budget of around $3k but it's not necessary that the suggestions need to be till $3k as anything less than that can also can do...looking to buy something robust suggest me some PC cabinets too...also no ASUS please! I am thinking of i5 instead of i7...let me know!

Note: I already have the LED monitor just need the other stuff

Then why the f. u need 3k for that lol? That money is for gaming purpouses. IM, you don't even need a GPU (or at least a strong one).
For for 8gb ram (maybe 12 if u want, im on 8gb and I play all the latest games, no probs, imagine how much u'd need for IM).
Go for i5 (4th or 5th gen) or i7 if u want it for the long run.
Decent mobo, and A MUST HAVE: SSD. If you go for an ordinary HDD it's going to slow down all the other strong components, cause they're slow as fuck.
I could build u a great pc for 1k, 1,5k tops!!! U'll have a rocket for IM.

p.s why not asus? they are the big players for almost all PC parts. My GPU is GTX980 and it;s the ASUS strix version, it's a rocket. My monitor aswell, very very satisfied. My motherboard same, not even a single problem.

GPU: Asus Strix-GTX980-DC2OC-4GD5 (4GB, DDR5)
MBU: ASUS Z97-PRO GAMER (can do all kinds of overclocks).
Case: CoolerMaster HAF XM
RAM: Kingston Predator Series 8gb 2400mHz ddr3 (you'll have to overclock your MB to use all the 2400mHz, but just go for 1600mHz one, you'll be more than good, I havent even overcloacked mine and its doing great).
HDD: 1tb WD
PSU: Corais Enthusiast Series RM1000 (you wanna go for a good PSU, NEVER go for a cheap one, EVER, it's a stupid risk. You won't need the 1000 probably, but just leave it be, it has a technology that stops spinning the fans when surfing. (Same as my GPU), so very quiet).
SSD: whatever you want.

Should I go with the PSU that you use? also am I right about the SSD for boot only and the rest 1 TB for HDD? Also what about the heatsink RAM?

Don't buy 1x8gb... You want a dual channel ram, that's 2x4gb. Or if you can afford it, go for 2x8gb. But always split your total ram in 2, that's better.

You dont want a non-modular, or semi-modular PSU, and all those cables hanging in your case for no reason. You'll use only what you need, other cables out in the box!).

I meant SSD for the program files in C folder as in booting and then HDD for the rest folders...also will that ASUS M/B go well with i5? Say I want 16GB ram...shall I go with two 8GB ones or what?

Also what's your take on ram with heatsink?

If you're ready to pay that much, you might aswell go for a 512gb of SSD, or maybe 1tb. You probably aren't gonna need a lot of space for IM. My suggestion, go for one ssd at least 256gb, and another 1tb of normal HDD), you'll be set.

To know if a MB accepts a certain CPU, you don't look if its i3,i5 or i7. You look their SOCKET. The motherboard I sent you (mine) has a 1150 Socket, meaaning it will be ok for i3,i5,i7 which work on 1150 (almost all the new cpus, 4th generation). The generation of the CPU is known from the number. For example my CPU is: i7-4790k (the first number tells the generation of the cpu, the higher the better), the K at the end means it's made to be overclocked if you want to, but you wont need that.

As for the ram, I told u, I got mine with heatsink, they're running great.

That is awesome explanation friend and also now that there are 5th generation processors I don't think the M/B will support that i5 and also what about the RAM? Say I want 16GB ram...shall I go with two 8GB ones or what? You said dual channel ram right?

I am also doing research but any M/B you can suggest for 5th generation i5?

I was going to go for a 4th or 5th gen i5 myself, FOR GAMING, and it not have been a problem AT ALL, trust me. My bro is on a strong i3 cpu with an ssd, and its rocking. If u want to go for the long run, go for i7, because you are not going to get ANY difference in speed when comming to IM, with i5 or i7. Not even noticable. When they come to differ is when doing video editing and stuff, hardly even for gaming aswell.

If something works good for gaming, it surely works GREAT for surfing and IM.
Check the official site of the MB, you'll be amazed. You can go for weaker one if u want, but it's a strong and firm MB, you wont have to think about it once u start using it. Dont go for ANY cheap companies like Foxxcon, Deluxe, gigabyte or shit.

The engraving is finer is therefore heated less, but it does not make much difference except the price that is very different

I am thinking of i5-6600k..it doesn't come with a cooler.....is it necessary to buy a cooler for it?
