This looks like it belonged to microsoft, who launched a product and it failed. The domain has ended up in OP's hands.

The backlink profile on this is just immense, this is an awesome domain.
 
If the domain belonged to microsoft and has the product name in the domain then could it not be taken away because of copyright?

In my expierence, no, únless you want to compit with microsoft.

The domain is very brandable, so if i dont sell It i willl build a money site on It.
